Endless food
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our food tour with Michael was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Rome! We had such an amazing time and would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience authentic Roman food and culture. We started at a small local café, where Michael introduced us to Rome’s coffee culture and explained how Italians enjoy their coffee. It was such a great way to begin the morning and made us feel like we were experiencing the city like locals. From there, we stopped for some incredible pizza before heading back to enjoy a wonderful wine tasting with delicious cheeses, fresh bread, flavorful spreads, and truffle. Everything we tasted was fresh and authentic. Next, we visited a local market where we sampled prosciutto, a variety of cheeses, fresh pasta, local wine, and an amazing crispy pork sandwich that reminded me of what we call chicharrón in my culture. Every stop offered something different, and Michael explained the history and traditions behind the foods, which made the experience even more meaningful. We finished the tour with a delicious pasta dish and, of course, another glass of wonderful Italian wine. By the end, we were completely full and so happy we chose this tour! What really made the experience special was Michael. He was friendly, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. It never felt rushed, and you could tell he genuinely loves sharing the food, history, and culture of Rome with others. This was so much more than a food tour—it felt like spending the day with a local friend who wanted to show us the very best of Rome. If you’re visiting the city, don’t miss this experience. It was worth every minute and is something we’ll always remember!
Awesome
We did the Prati Gour tour with Vivien. Highly suggest. Vivien was awesome, very knowledgeable. Food and wine was so delicious.
Amazing tour with Michael!
Had the most amazing time trying all of the food. Michael was an absolutely amazing guide!
Must do if you are a foodie
Michael our guide was absolutely amazing. He explained in detail each food where it came from and made the tour so much fun. The food was fabulous, by the time we got to the end we couldn't eat another bite
Highly recommended! Read why here!!!
First, do this tour. Second, do this tour very early during your stay in Rome. Why that second part? It will inform you on what you'll be eating during the rest of your stay, and what to look for amongst all the amazing authentic Italian food and drink options you'll have during your stay. You'll also be very full by the end of the tour. Side note: We spent time over 10 days in three European countries and did 6 different tours. All were either good or great tours, but we wished we had the tour guide for every tour that we had with this tour. He was by far the most selectively informative, engaging, and genuinely friendly. I know sometimes reviews get moved if you put someone's name in them, but you'll likely know you got him when you do - a great dude from up-state New York, but a seasoned Rome veteran foodie... Thank you sir!!!
