Rhodes Luxury Sailing Yacht Day Cruise

Had a great time, super friendly and accommodating guide, beautiful swimming spots, delicious lunch. Would do again!

We booked the Semi-Private yacht trip which took us to 3 bays which we were able to swim and explore at. Our captain (George) was so friendly and attentive. We were offered cold drinks throughout and we had a delicious Greek lunch on board. This was very easy to book and we were sent clear instructions on where to go and when for check in and arrival. Upon arrival for check in, George from Half Price Tours welcomed us and told us exactly what to do. When waiting for our boat to depart, myself and my partner watched George explain to customers from other excursions about what to expect on their trip. He was very informative and gave people lots of important information and recommendations before their trip started! Would highly recommend and we will hopefully use this company in the future.

As a couple, we did the semi-private sailing cruise at the end of September. We booked the transfer to avoid parking problems in Rhodes town. Georgios was on time for the pickup and the ride went smoothly. The boat departed a little earlier than planned with 11 guests on board, which is a good group size. Skipper Georgia is expert and professional. Her instructions are quite direct, but she is approachable. Assistant Monica does her work calmly and correctly, such as handing out the drinks. The lunch was well catered for and enough for everyone (Greek salad, tzatziki, breadsticks, and chicken). Goggles and noodles were available for swimming. Underwater we only saw small fish, even when they were being fed. The order of the stops deviated from the description, probably to avoid the crowds at the bays. That was okay for us. Area for improvement: Finishing the program felt a bit rushed. At two of the three stops, the majority of the guests remained on board, after which the boat immediately departed as soon as everyone was on board. At our last stop, Anthony Quinn Bay, we were going to stay for an hour, but after about half an hour we are already heading back. Upon arrival at the port, it turned out that four guests (including us) had to wait an hour for the transfer. The second boat had not returned yet and two passengers from that boat had to come with us in our car. If the planned time was kept at the stops, the pace would have been nicer and we wouldn't have had to wait an hour in port. Without this rushed feeling and the wait afterwards, we would have given 5 stars. Overall a fine excursion, but the timing could be a bit better.

The tour itself was great. Our guide was very friendly, took us to some great spots to go snorkelling and the food onboard was very tasty. Only let down was the pickup service. We were given the wrong details of where we were being picked up from. To then be rudely met by the driver who said he had been waiting ages and that he had been to the spot where we were sat and we weren’t there. We were sat at this spot for half an hour before our scheduled pick up time. We were then taken to their shop where we were quickly ushered out of the car so that they didn’t get a fine for stopping. The workers in the shop gave us the name of the boat we were going on and rudely told the captain was waiting and we needed to hurry. This side of it really needs improving but the tour itself was great.

Pick up was smooth. Boat trips was lovely. 3 beautiful swimming stops. Delicious lunch. Really enjoyed being in a small group with no loud music or drinking games! Dropped back at our hotel.
