After breakfast, we drive to the town of San Bartolo, from here we'll go walking to the Mausoleums of Revash, which are constructions of funeral homes at the foothills of huge rocks; they are painted in red and cream color, which resemble small houses. Some are up to three floors high, and others have gable roofs with T-shaped, cross-shaped and square windows. The mausoleums can be observed from 100 meters approximately. This tour is great! The guide was friendly, knew a lot about the Chachapoya Culture and was very helpfull. The driver was very carefull and experienced. We stopped at a great place to eat, it was tasty and the people very friendly at all. The place is beatiful with humming-birds and bromeliad hanging everywhere. I recommend this to every visitor to Chachapoyas! Hannes

Leymebamba beauty

I went independently to Leymebamba I do NOT normally do tours unless there is no option I went to the museum as l sm an anthropologist and archaeology is a passion of mine 45 minutes which is suggested by tours is NOzT enough for me However l recognise that some people may want to do the tour with the mausoleum as well as the mausoleum is far away and difficult to access independently If you like archaeology this is mind blowing I stayed at la Petaca Hotel which is excellent but no one here speaks English Learn some Spanish People here are kind and hospitable but so far little infrastructure for tourists which suits me!
