The Confession Box is a historic pub on Marlborough Street beside St. Mary’s Pro Cathedral in Dublin. It is best known for its connection to the Irish War of Independence, when Michael Collins and IRA members reportedly used it as a discreet meeting place, blending in with churchgoers nearby. Today, it remains a traditional Dublin pub and a reminder of the city’s revolutionary past.
The Stag’s Head is one of Dublin’s best preserved Victorian pubs, dating from the late 19th century. Located just off Dame Street, it is famous for its ornate carved wood, stained glass and the stag’s head above the bar. A favourite with locals, it reflects Dublin’s rich pub heritage.

Traveler reviews
Excellent pub experience.
Was amazing, the knowledge that Dolan had was phenomenal. He was great experience and the insight into the “out of the way” pubs that have history was great. And as always he demonstrates the Irish culture. Which as an Australian is similar in a few ways. Plus he’s always keen for a game of pool and knows the locals, who are always friendly . Would recommend for sure.
Pub Crawlers
Small group, went to 3 pubs, learned how to pour a perfect pint of Guinness at Nanny O’Sheas, Donal, our guide was very knowledgeable about Dublin and the local pubs.
Fantastic

Pub tour with Donal
Super fun and relaxing tour with Donal.
Pub Tour with Donal
Our tour guide was Donal and he was so much fun. Told us all about the history of the areas while we were walking around to various pubs and then all about the pubs themselves. Donal had a great sense of humor and we loved the craic!!
