Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire Wine Region

This exclusive 3.5-hour private wine tour explores the prestigious Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire wine region, one of Provence's most scenically dramatic and geologically distinctive terroirs. Your expert English-speaking guide collects you directly from your Aix-en-Provence accommodation and transports you in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle through the stunning landscapes surrounding the iconic Mont Sainte-Victoire—the limestone mountain immortalized in Paul Cézanne's paintings.

Journey along the Arc River valley where vineyards stretch across limestone soils at the foot of the striking 1,011-meter-high Sainte-Victoire cliffs. This designated Cru appellation, recognized in 2005 and elevated to Cru status in 2025, produces wines noted for distinctive freshness from higher-altitude slopes, well-drained limestone terroir, and the cooling effects of the Mistral wind.

Two Family-Owned Estate Visits and Tastings

Visit two carefully selected family-owned wineries where passionate vintners share their expertise about Provence winemaking traditions and the unique Sainte-Victoire terroir. Discover how the region's clay-limestone soils (60% pebbles, 40% clay) and strict production constraints create intensely flavored, structured wines with remarkable elegance.

Taste exceptional Provence rosés—the region's signature wine style—alongside aromatic whites and powerful reds crafted from Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault grape varieties. Learn the differences between Côtes de Provence appellations, understand biodynamic farming approaches increasingly adopted by Sainte-Victoire estates, and appreciate why this region produces some of Provence's most refined wines.

Perfect for Wine Enthusiasts and Couples

This private format accommodates 2 to 8 guests with completely personalized attention and flexible pacing, ideal for wine enthusiasts seeking in-depth knowledge, couples enjoying romantic Provence experiences, or small groups celebrating special occasions. Your guide tailors discussions to your wine experience level, whether you're a novice discovering Provence rosé or a connoisseur exploring terroir nuances.

The tour operates April through October when Provence vineyards showcase lush green vines, golden harvests, and spectacular mountain vistas. All wine tasting fees are included, and you'll have opportunities to purchase favorite bottles directly from producers at estate prices.

We had a very fun day with Matt to Mont Saint-Mitchel. Matt is an excellent tour guide & he cared for his clients very much. He's an on time person. We learned a lot about the history of Saint-Mitchel via Matt. He made sure we have enough time browsing this beautiful UNESCO. We definitely recommend friends & family this tour. Thank you Matt

Pascal was, above all, a smiling whirlwind of energy from the very start — bursting with knowledge, passion, and just the right amount of dramatic flair. He painted the horror of the Omaha Beach invasion so vividly that we could practically hear the chaos, then marched us through the bunkers at Pointe du Hoc like we were on a mission ourselves. And before we even caught our breath, he had already catapulted us back to Bayeux at invasion speed. A legend in tour‑guide form. Thanks from Croatian Team😉

Our Normandy D-Day tour was well worth it and we so enjoyed our tour guide Matt. He made the tour engaging, entertaining and informative. The tour was just the right size and a half day was perfect for us. It would have been much harder to get around to the sites and understand each without the information that Matt was constantly sharing. There was hardly a time that Matt was not telling us what/how/when of what we were looking at. Thanks Matt!

Additional information

Important information concerning wine tours in France: We carefully select the wineries visited during our wine tours, but the number of wines you’ll taste is set by each estate and varies by region, price and quality.

Also, snacks are usually not provided during wine tastings to preserve the purity of the wine's flavor. We recommend having a good breakfast or lunch beforehand.

Please note that we do not distribute water bottles anymore to limit our environmental impact. We strongly recommend that you bring a reusable bottle.

Guests under 18 are welcome on our wine tours but may not participate in tastings.
