From Lavender Fields to Perfume: Private Full-Day Experience from Aix-en-Provence
Awaken your senses on a full-day private “plant to perfume” tour from Aix-en-Provence, combining lavender fields, traditional distillation, Provençal flavors and an intimate natural perfume workshop. With hotel pickup, a dedicated English-speaking driver-guide and a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, you’ll enjoy a seamless, immersive day in the heart of Provence.
From Lavender Harvest to Distillation
Your experience begins at a charming Provençal mas, where a local farmer introduces you to different varieties of lavender and their uses in aromatherapy and perfumery. Depending on the season, you may take part in the harvest among the fields before discovering traditional distillation: loading the still, watching the separation of essential oil and floral water, and learning how each extract is used in cosmetics, wellness and fragrance. You then bottle your own lavender-based products, creating unique souvenirs to take home.
Provençal Flavors and Natural Perfume Workshop
Between activities, relax over a Provençal apéritif featuring regional spreads, organic wines and juices, followed by a light, seasonal lunch that keeps you energized for the afternoon. The day continues with a small-group natural perfume workshop, where an expert perfumer guides you through a curated palette of essences to help you understand top, heart and base notes and compose your own signature fragrance. At the end of the tour, you return to Aix-en-Provence with your essential oil, floral water and personalized perfume, along with a deeper connection to Provence’s aromatic heritage and artisanal know-how.

Reviews
Great experience, guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. Victor brought us around the different sites and showed us so many cool sites
Alex was the most experienced, knowledgeable, and chilled tour guide of all the 5 tour guides we experienced. We learned a lot from him about the culture, history, and geology of the region. He also provided great context to understand the regions' wines. This tour to Cassis and the calanques was beautiful and would get a 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that this expensive tour did not include lunch. The wine tasting was good but I had better in Bordeaux and it included lunch.
Matt was an awesome tour guide. His passion for D-day made the experience that much better. He was very knowledgeable. Even my children were glued to his every word. Great experience!
