If you’re on the fence about booking a private Grand Canal tour—do it, and book it with Giulia. From the moment our sleek water taxi pulled up, she made Venice feel both grand and intimate. Giulia’s storytelling is the perfect blend of history, architecture, and lived-in local detail. As we cruised past palazzi I’ve seen in a thousand photos, she painted vivid portraits of the families, floods, and fortunes behind those facades. What I loved most: she didn’t just stick to the Grand Canal. We slipped into quieter waterways, saw parts of Venice we would have otherwise missed, and got insights you can only hear from a local. Her pacing was spot on—enough facts to feel enriched, never overwhelming. Pro tips: book around golden hour for gorgeous light, bring a light layer (breezy on the water), and have questions—Giulia loves them. This was the highlight of our time in Venice and worth every minute. Highly, highly recommend.
Truly a different perspective!
This was an amazing way to see Venice - truly a different perspective. We were able to cover vast areas around Venice and also see the less tourist areas - where Venetians live. Alessia was outstanding - warm, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. If you are going to Venice, this tour should be a must!
Dream cruise
We actually did the Murano, Burano Islands Tour with Guilia. She met us at our accommodation and was a bundle of energy from the get-go. She escorted us to the most perfect wooden boat where we were driven through the Grand Canal while she narrated. We went to Murano and saw a glass demonstration and then Burano for a lace demonstration and met a cookie baker. The views and highlights were spectacular. Giulia is a native to Lido so she was able to give us advice about our beach trip for the next day. She is amazing and relates to kids and adults very well.
