Itinerary

1

Meet your guide at your accommodation at 5:30 PM and depart right away on the back a motorbike. Get ready to experience the the insane Vietnam traffic! The only thing that really stands between you and some awesome vegan food is the ‘daily-dice-with-death’ traffic situation, but don't worry your guide is an experienced driver and will calmly lead you through the traffic. Your first stop is in District 3, a hip new spot with relaxed, historical environment all around. Here you’ll kick the tour off with a famous story about a Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monk who burned himself for protesting the persecution of Buddhists by the South Vietnamese government. After learning about the history of the people of Saigon, head up to a local vegan restaurant, a calm spot combined with nostalgic vibes, where you’ll savor "Banh Xeo" - vegan Vietnamese rice pancake served with fresh vegetables and vegan "fish sauce". Coming over District 10 then going off-the-beaten path and diving into Saigon’s deep-rooted culture. Visit a true maze of the biggest wholesale flower market and a local market inside to have an authentic local experience in hidden alleys by grilling banana crispy crackers and local hangouts that you should not miss out on. Don’t get too comfy among the cushions as we’ve got to hurry to experience the highest pagoda of the city "Viet Nam Quoc Tu" located in a quiet space with its spectacular architecture before closing! From there, cross the road to the most famous restaurant of Saigon to sample vegan food fares. At the peak of culinary innovation, let your senses run wild with carefully planned Vietnamese dishes featuring sustainable ingredients and sip on your old-fashioned water or vegan beer and Vietnamese rice wine which is distilled in Street Food Man Vinny's village. Drive to District 5 and pass the local streets of the night life. Take a spin around on the journey along the banks of the Saigon River in District 4 - The perfect time to cross the bridge to Saigon’s bustling night scene. After getting a welcoming breeze from the back of the bike, we’ll finish you off with a sweet treat such as smoothies or a dish of fresh fruit.

Great food tour!

First amazing food tour experience in Ho Chi Minh! Many delicious dishes to eat throughout the evening with more information on Vietnamese culture. One piece of advice: arrive on an empty stomach! Thanks again to Catherine and Hazel for this great tour!:)

The best way to discover Saigon and its food!

We had a great evening with Catherine and Hazel!! The food was excellent, we loved discovering Saigon on a scooter (great drivers!) and they shared with us many information, anecdotes and recommendations:)

Just do it !

This was one of the most 4 incredible tour — not just in Vietnam, but anywhere! What a brilliant experience scootering around the streets (big, small, quiet, busy) with Eugene and Tươi. They were incredible guides and made this such a special adventure. We’re 69 and 57 years old, and honestly, this tour is for anyone who can swing a leg onto a bike! It felt very safe and comfortable the entire time. And the food… just WOW. We did the vegetarian/vegan option and it was absolutely stunning. We came back full of amazing food, new knowledge, and completely buzzing with energy. Please support this local business — the owner is a fantastic communicator, and the whole team is engaging, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Highly recommended!

Gluten Free Food Tour

My sister and I did an incredible night food tour with Street Food Man in Vietnam. She's vegan, and I'm allergic to gluten and dairy. Vinny, the owner, was super accommodating, hand-picking spots that catered to our combined needs. Gluten-free or coeliac friendly options aren't something most food tours advertise, but we found Street Food Man thanks to a traveler's blog raving about Vinny's help in the past. Our guides, Catherine and Sandy, went above and beyond to make it personal. We biked through different districts, chatting about everyday life in Vietnam and sharing their local knowledge, it felt like friends on a progressive dinner, not a touristy outing. The food was amazing, we tried so many dishes we wouldn't have risked ordering ourselves due to the language barrier and venturing beyond the usual hotspots. 10/10 highly recommend for anyone with dietary needs (or not). Private, personalised, and refreshing!

Delicious with great guides!

It was amazing the people are so nice, it’s a great idea using scooters to drive us around Ho Chi Minh City. We had Aaron, Hazel, Van and Tu as our guides, fantastic experience. The food is hygienic and delicious but make sure you go on an empty stomach as there is a lot of food, do recommend!
