- *St. Peter’s Basilica is an active church and can be closed unexpectedly for liturgical ceremonies. If closed, the time inside the Vatican Museums will be extended. On Wednesday mornings the Holy Father is having his weekly audience in Saint Peter’s Square and due to security, Saint Peter’s Basilica is closed. If you book an early morning tour on a Wednesday, we can therefore not guarantee access to the Basilica.

- Please be aware that the Sistine Chapel is a Holy Place and talking during your visit inside is strictly forbidden, therefore your guide will give you an explanation of the Sistine Chapel beforehand during your tour, in order to give you a comprehensive explanation before entering the chapel.
- Backpacks are not permitted in the Museum.

Great tour - Massimo was fantastic
Liv Tours and our guide Massimo were wonderful! Communication ahead of time was great, meeting arrangements were clear, and tour description was spot on. Massimo was informative, helpful, and very entertaining. He knew all the ins and outs of the Vatican and more. It seems everybody in the Vatican knows Massimo too! In fact, I’m convinced that if we had met Pope Leo, he would have known Massimo and joked with him about his Chicago accent. Great tour! Thanks Massimo … and Liv Tours!

Fantastic tour with Sabrina!
This is an amazing tour. Sabrina is extremely knowledgeable and taught us more in the minutes before we entered the museum than any of us knew. She moved us through giving us all the highlights and made the tour interesting and interactive. Although it is a lot of history it was kept enjoyable and we shared lots of laughs along the way. Sabrina was so fun and friendly that we felt like she was one of our group. We all highly recommend this once in a lifetime tour! Thank you, Sabrina…..Hope the wedding was memorable!
