Itinerary
Pass by: This tour will start from your accommodation in Barcelona. Your guide will pick you up at any apartment or hotel in Barcelona, you are staying in. Please, make sure to specify the exact adress of your accomodation when booking. After the pick-up is completed, you will head to the first destination of your tour.
On this tour we will get on the road to the mystic mountain of Montserrat. While being in the car, the guide will tell you some interesting stories about Catalonia, Barcelona and Monserrat. You will get prepared to understand the heritage you will discover during the tour. The Rocky Massif of Montserrat has been declared as Natural Park in 1987, and characterised by the rounded shape of its peaks. During the tour, you will discover this awe-inspiring natural monument and learn about its importance to the Catalan people. This magnificient 4000-foot wonder is easily recognizable by its ''serrated'' top from which it got his name.
Upon reaching the mountain, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Benedictine Monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat, beautifully nestled in a breathtaking natural setting. Next, we'll continue our journey by strolling through the monastery's scenic surroundings, where you'll be captivated by the stunning Montserrat needles—towering, vertical rock formations that create a truly magical landscape.
In the afternoon, we'll head to the renowned Penedès wine region, making our way to Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, the heart of Cava production. This charming town is home to some of the oldest and most respected wineries, with a winemaking tradition that spans nearly five centuries. It was here, in 1872, that Cava was first crafted using the Traditional Method, with locally grown grapes from the Penedès. During our visit, you'll tour a local cellar, where you'll gain insight into the production process and, of course, enjoy a tasting of some of the region's finest Cavas—a perfect way to immerse yourself in the story behind Spain's most famous sparkling wine.

Great destinations, Great Guide
We had an amazing experience with our guide Jean-Franco. The trip to the monastery was beautiful and Jean knew so much about the location and its history. More than we could have ever learned without him. We had extra time on our way to the winery, and Jean took us to an amazing lookout spot to overlook all of the vineyards. The tour of the winery was amazing and the wine was very nice. Couldn’t ask for a better experience or a better guide.
Monserrat and Cava private tour.
Gianfranco was such a joy. Knowledgeable, fun, and very easy going. We had such a great time at Montserrat and the Cava region. Can’t recommend it enough or Gianfranco!
Fantastic trip to Monserrat
8 of us did a private tour of Monserrat and a cava tour for a full day. Eduard was very engaging and an excellent communicator. He kept us well informed and very enthusiastic. Thank you very much Eduard! We had a great time.

We did a private tour with Alba and she was extremely responsive, informative and educational Alex it was a great mix of curated experiences with free time to do as we wish. We hiked, saw historically important sites and drank some wine at Vins El CEP. Great time and highly recommended!
