Amazing collection of Treasures
This was a pretty amazing place, with its vast collection of pre-Columbian artifacts showcasing Peru's rich history in gold, silver and copper. As sell as the beautiful metals there was plenty of guns/weapons, mummies - not to mention shrunken heads. If you can allow a couple of hours if you enjoy this sort of thing, there is so much to see.
Very insightful and interesting tour and Museum
Great experience! We were picked up on time and taken to the museum, where we got a very interesting and insightful tour of the many many many treasures... the scope is amazing. I was kind of expecting also to get a tour of the weapons museum, but that was not part of it. We were given time to browse it on our own though. Wow, that guy was a hoarder.. Soo much stuff he collected... ! Very Impressive!
Outstanding collection, comparable to the best public museums.
Very impressive collection from a private collector. Over 8000 pieces of pre Hispanic gold, mostly quite small, and over 20,000 weapons from all over the world. The weapons are mostly side arms and firearms. A huge number looking in excellent condition. They are well displayed in glass cases with good lighting and bilingual plaques.
Interesting to see only objects
If you like to see only many historical objects, this is your ideal place. There are no historical reviews to read They had no guides or anyone to point you to the places There's no order to start. Inside there are shops open but it seems at the same time abandoned. Without a guide you can not do a pleasant tour, the only fun for me was to see objects from different countries and years. Take cash, I couldn't pay by card. They don’t give you a brochure, there is no QR’S to see if there are stories to listen to, it’s far away and getting there by bus is not easy, just by taxi, own car or bus with visiting groups.
A big surprise
A place where you can enjoy the history of Peru, as well as items of great characters, you can enjoy the Inca culture and all the gold they left us to be able to surprise us daily today, the entrance has a price of 40 suns
