Sweets in Ephesus
So glad we decided to do this tour. Our guide Ecem made this tour very personable. We hit many of the highlights of Ephesus, but my favorite was when she took us to a sweets shop after I said I needed a bit of sugar. We got to sample a variety of turkish delights, baklava, and other sweets for free, and we didn't feel pressured to buy anything. On the way to the ship, my son wanted to get some turkish liquor, so Ecem avoided overpriced shops and took us to a local supermarket so he could get something authentic. One of the best tours I've been on for sure!
Our guide Fatih was...
Our guide Fatih was personable, informative, and extremely knowledgeable. Pick up at the cruise port was seamless. The van was clean and comfortable. The driver was excellent. We so enjoyed Fatih's personal stories and it was clear he loved his country and his job. He gave us a personal tour of Ephesus and pointed out many interesting details that we would have otherwise missed. I would HIGHLY recommend him and his company for a personalized tour. Our lunch afterward was at a local farm/small business, and it was lovely as well as tasty. We also stopped at a local family-owned ceramic shop. But Ephesus was the highlight of this tour and Fatih brought this ancient city to life for our small group of 4 people.
Incredible Tour! A Deep Dive into History & Hidden Gems
Great Tour! Fatih did an excellent job and was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkey’s rich history. Beyond the standard sights, he also gave us amazing recommendations for local spots we never would have found on our own like a pottery workshop and a carpet boutique that were absolute hidden gems. Highly recommend!
Best Tour Guide
Fatih was probably the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He was incredibly knowledgeable, respectful, and made every stop interesting and enjoyable. We toured four different places, and I would gladly return to every one of them in a heartbeat. From what I understood, some of the places he took us to were true hidden gems that we never would have found on our own.
Excellent time
Fatih was an excellent tour guide. Respectful of our family’s desired itinerary. He also took us to a few hidden gems to see Turkish carpets and moon gem pottery.
