Private Ephesus and Village Life Tour---No Rug Sales : )
We were on a cruise and 3 of us had been to Ephesus before, but it had been very very hot. We wanted to see Ephesus again, but we also wanted to see Sirince. It took some doing, but I found a way to see Ephesus without someone trying to sell me a rug---book a private tour! I contacted this agency and Memet (AKA Memo) and his driver picked us up. Memet was very friendly. He answered questions about life in Turkey. We found Ephesus to be very crowded, but the weather was perfect. We went into the Terrace Houses, and we found it wasn't crowded. Memet bought tickets for everything. We paid him for his time, the tickets, and a tip at the end of the trip. We loved walking around Sirince. We had brought a sack lunch and we enjoyed it sitting in a courtyard above the town. We still had time left at the end of visiting Sirince and Memo offerred to take us to a rug factory to see how they are made. We asked that they drive us near the ocean and then return us to our ship. We enjoyed being able to see the sights on our own schedule. We highly recommend taking a private tour.
Great Day in Ephesus
We had a private tour with Burak. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He supplied us with water and umbrellas to shield from the sun in Ephesus. He took us to the village of Sirinci, where we had a chance to walk around and have a fabulous lunch with Burak. We highly recommend the Ephesus Port Tours and Burak in particular.
