Full description

Experience the true flavors of Bordeaux on a full-day private food and wine journey that takes you to the heart of France’s most prestigious winelands. Start with a comfortable chauffeured transfer from Bordeaux and dive into a hands-on cooking class inside a historic château. Guided by a professional chef, prepare a multi-course meal using fresh regional ingredients, then relax over lunch as you enjoy your creations paired with estate wines.

Your day continues with a guided tour and tasting at a second top winery, where you’ll experience the nuanced differences between Médoc, Saint-Émilion, or Graves terroirs. Take in sweeping vineyard views at every turn, while we handle all logistics—so you can savor every sip and bite. Perfect for foodies, wine lovers, and explorers craving a taste of French tradition.

Private transfer, château cooking class & 2 winery visits
This full‑day experience includes chauffeur‑driven transfers from Bordeaux, a hands‑on cooking class with lunch and wines in a Bordeaux château, plus a second winery visit and tasting in the afternoon. Your driver‑guide collects you in Bordeaux and escorts you through the vineyards, so you can relax and focus entirely on the food, wine and scenery.

Flexible wine region: Médoc, Saint‑Émilion or Graves/Pessac‑Léognan
To secure the best available château and chef on your travel date, the cooking class may take place in any one of three major Bordeaux wine regions: Médoc, Saint‑Émilion or Graves/Pessac‑Léognan. The specific estate is confirmed after booking once availability is checked, but you always cook and dine at a working wine château in one of these prestigious appellations.

Morning château cooking class, lunch & wines
On arrival at your selected château winery, meet the local chef for a private, French‑style cooking class in the estate kitchen. Together you create a seasonal multi‑course menu using regional ingredients, then sit down to enjoy the dishes you’ve prepared, paired with a curated tasting of the château’s own red and white wines.

Afternoon estate tour & tasting
After lunch, your driver‑guide takes you to a second château in the same area for a classic cellar tour and guided tasting. Discover how the estate works with local grapes—Cabernet‑driven blends in Médoc or Graves/Pessac‑Léognan, or Merlot‑based wines in Saint‑Émilion—and sample several cuvées that express the region’s style and terroir.

Relaxed return to Bordeaux
Late afternoon, unwind during your private transfer back to Bordeaux, with drop‑off at your hotel or a central location of your choice. This flexible format gives you a complete gourmet day in the vineyards—cooking, dining and tasting at two châteaux—while we manage the region selection, estate reservations and all driving based on the best options for your date.

A pleasant short boat ride, beautiful surroundings. But the English translation did not fit with the altered tour, did not mention plenty of formations that the guide was explaining in French and didn't bother to switch to English for the rest of us (yes he knew English), so we missed out on a lot. Plus the guide made fun of english speakers, as evidenced by the pointed laughter in the direction of those wearing headphones.

Our guide was excellent, both knowledgeable and friendly. She was especially knowledgeable about the wine industry even before we got to the vineyards

Additional information

This day is ideal for foodies and wine lovers who want an immersive, hands‑on experience in a Bordeaux château rather than a simple tasting. It suits adults and older teens who enjoy cooking, trying new dishes and learning about Médoc, Saint‑Émilion or Graves/Pessac‑Léognan wines in a relaxed, small‑group private setting. Travelers should be comfortable standing while cooking and walking short distances around the estates and cellars.
