Private Bordeaux City and Saint-Émilion Wine Tour - Full Day
Combine Bordeaux's UNESCO World Heritage landmarks with a Saint-Émilion wine tour on this private full-day experience. Start with a guided walking tour of Bordeaux's historic center, including Place des Quinconces, the Golden Triangle, Place de la Bourse, and the Water Mirror. After free time for lunch, travel to the prestigious Right Bank wine region for château visits and Merlot wine tastings in Saint-Émilion or Pomerol. Enjoy hotel pickup, certified guide expertise, and personalized attention throughout your day.
Morning Guided Walking Tour of Bordeaux
Meet your certified guide at your Bordeaux hotel or the centrally located Tourism Office and begin exploring the city's most famous landmarks. Visit Place des Quinconces, one of Europe's largest public squares featuring the Monument to the Girondins and statues of Montesquieu and Montaigne, built on the former site of Château Trompette fortress. Continue to the Golden Triangle, the luxury heart of Bordeaux defined by elegant boulevards including Cours de l'Intendance and centered on Place de la Comédie with the magnificent Grand Théâtre, an 18th-century neoclassical masterpiece designed by Victor Louis. Walk to Place de la Bourse on the Garonne River to see the world-famous Miroir d'Eau (Water Mirror), plus the Gothic Cathedral of Saint-André and Pey Berland Tower. After your guided tour, enjoy free time for lunch at recommended local restaurants before departing for Saint-Émilion.
Afternoon Saint-Émilion and Pomerol Wine Tour
Travel to the Saint-Émilion wine region, one of Bordeaux's most prestigious Right Bank appellations where Merlot dominates the blends with Cabernet Franc. The area's cooler, clay-limestone soils create rich, elegant wines that mature faster than Left Bank Cabernet Sauvignon, typically ready to drink within 4-8 years while offering excellent aging potential in top vintages.
Your tour may also include Pomerol, a neighboring appellation with gravel and clay soils producing some of the world's most sought-after Merlot-based wines. Visit pre-booked châteaux for guided tours and expert-led tastings, learning about Right Bank terroir, viticulture, and winemaking traditions. Your certified guide provides personalized commentary and full attention throughout this private experience, ensuring a memorable day combining Bordeaux culture and exceptional wine.

Reviews
Great experience, guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. Victor brought us around the different sites and showed us so many cool sites
Alex was the most experienced, knowledgeable, and chilled tour guide of all the 5 tour guides we experienced. We learned a lot from him about the culture, history, and geology of the region. He also provided great context to understand the regions' wines. This tour to Cassis and the calanques was beautiful and would get a 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that this expensive tour did not include lunch. The wine tasting was good but I had better in Bordeaux and it included lunch.
Matt was an awesome tour guide. His passion for D-day made the experience that much better. He was very knowledgeable. Even my children were glued to his every word. Great experience!
