“Pick-up at Apótek Hotel at your convenience, perhaps at 9 a.m., or earlier or later.
Places visited, suggestions:
66 North Outlet in Skeifan. Open 10-18.
Visit the geothermal exhibition at Hellisheiði geothermal power plant. Open 9-16.
Raufarhólshellir lava tunnel (reservation needed, we will take care of that ). Open 9-17.
Lunch (not included):
Restaurant Við Fjöruborðið (By the seaside), well known for its langoustine dishes. Open 12-21. O
New lava field at Geldingadalir/Fagradalsfjall, from last year’s volcanic eruption – relatively short and a rather easy hike.
Perlan in Reykjavik – Natural Science exhibition. Planetarium with a Northern Lights show. Ice tunnel. Bird cliff replica. Biology and geology. Open 9-17.
(Grótta lighthouse. High tide 6.31 and 18.55.)
Possibly a brief visit to see the Icelandic horse.
Return to Apótek Hotel.
