Our afternoon snorkeling trip typically visits Coral Gardens or another nearby reef. This ancient reef covers more than 100 acres and was created by volcanic lava flows nearly 500,000 years ago. Today, it’s home to stunning coral formations—some over 500 years old!
With its calm waters and vibrant marine life, including yellow tangs, black triggerfish, convict tangs, and ornate butterflyfish. Coral Gardens offers the perfect setting for snorkelers of all experience levels. Glide over bright coral heads and swim with tropical fish and other amazing sea creatures in this underwater paradise.
This breathtaking reef gives snorkelers a fun and memorable experience in one of Hawaii’s best snorkeling spots.

Important information
Know before you book
- Participants should be comfortable floating face down in deep water
- Children must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them at all times
- For safety purposes, guests remain barefoot while onboard. We collect footwear upon boarding and return it upon disembarking.
- Full face snorkel masks are not allowed
- Alcohol is BYOB and can only be consumed at the conclusion of in-water activities
- Wildlife sightings such as turtles and whales are not guaranteed

- We may cancel due to weather at short notice
- Actual snorkel locations depend on the weather and cannot be guaranteed in advance
- We do not deploy our waterslide inside the Molokini Crater

We had an amazing experience with Maui Snorkeling! Captain Paul kept everyone entertained from start to finish he’s absolutely hilarious and made the trip so much fun. Sarah, the photographer, did an incredible job capturing the experience while snorkeling and was so friendly and professional. The entire crew was outstanding. Everyone was smiling, genuinely happy, incredibly helpful, and made sure every guest felt welcome and safe. Their positive energy made the whole excursion even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a fun, well-run snorkeling adventure with an amazing crew, I highly recommend Maui Snorkeling. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
We did turtle town and molokini crater snorkeling. The crew was friendly and very helpful, specially towards the little ones and non-swimmers. Definitely recommend for your snorkeling adventure in Maui!
