- This is a child friendly tour. Children ages 1-3 years are permitted to join this tour free of charge. Children from 4-14 years are permitted on this tour at half price listed above. Please inform us at the time of booking if you’ll be bringing a child with you.
- All customers with reservation must check in 15min prior to the tour start.
- This tour operates in the rain or any other weather condition, so please check the weather conditions and dress accordantly.
- Not recommended for gluten-free, veg, and vegan.
- Please note that the Bolhão market is closed on Sundays and, as a result, the tasting will be relocated to various local taverns.

We had A wonderful experience with our tour guide Jose! He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, accommodating, helpful, patient, and supportive throughout the entire tour. He extended our time of the tour. His enthusiasm and sense of humor made the experience even more enjoyable. Fantastic experience tasting the local delicacies. Igor was an incredible guide, super charismatic and full of really interesting stories and information.
Highly recommended tour
A great food and history tour and there was tastes of Pastel de nata, bifana, salt cod fritters, tasting of muscat, vienho verde and ginja. Not too heavy of a tasting. Our guide was the highlight ( Jose-Miguel) he was attentive, interesting and knew his city and more importantly he was authentically interested in each person and that they had a great experience! Highly recommend Jose! He also sent us additional recommendations after the tour. I would do this tour on my first night so you know what to go back for and can use his other recommendations.
Food for Thought!
Wonderful experience! Fun, factual and tasty. Jose was a fantastic guide. Perfect timing if you have an early arrival like we did. Dropped bags and spent 3 hours following Jose. The group were all interesting and chatty. Wholly recommend this as a great part of any trip to magnificent Porto.
