Pass by: Meet your private guide at Dubrovnik’s cruise ship port, then board your air-conditioned transfer vehicle and enjoy a leisurely journey to the idyllic Konavle Valley.

As you travel, ask your guide any questions you have; the beauty of a private tour is that the commentary is tailored to your interests. On arrival in Konavle, head to a local winery. Here, learn about the techniques that winemakers use to produce the region’s highly regarded wine before sampling some of the local varieties and refueling with traditional Croatian snacks such as cheese with homemade bread. After your wine tasting, return to your transfer vehicle and begin the scenic journey back to Dubrovnik. Stop off at Sivi Soko viewpoint on route for breathtaking views — and postcard-perfect photos — of Dubrovnik, Konavle Valley, Cavtat, and the neighboring islands.

Then, continue on to Dubrovnik Old Town. Follow your guide on foot, weaving your way through the maze of cobbled streets and narrow passageways. Amble past the Baroque Cathedral of the Assumption, which was reconstructed in the 18th century after an earthquake. Other top sights include the Church of St Blaise and Rector’s Palace. After exploring the Old Town, hop back inside your transfer vehicle and return to the port in time for your cruise departure.
