We’ll start with a classic neighborhood donut experience, enjoying fresh donuts that provide the perfect introduction to Portland’s love affair with this iconic treat. From here, we’ll make our way through the downtown streets, taking in the mix of historic architecture, modern buildings, green spaces, and public art that give Portland its distinctive character.

Our second stop offers another take on the classic donut, with plenty of flavors and styles to discover. One of the best parts of Portland’s donut scene is its variety. Some shops keep things simple and traditional, while others experiment with unexpected flavors, toppings, and combinations. Throughout the tour, you’ll get to experience both sides.

As we continue toward the heart of downtown, your guide will share stories about Portland’s history, food culture, and famously independent spirit. We’ll pass through bustling city blocks and explore some of the sights that have helped make downtown Portland one of the Pacific Northwest’s most recognizable urban destinations.

Of course, no exploration of Portland’s donut culture would be complete without experiencing the city’s playful side. Our third stop features the bold flavors, colorful creations, and over-the-top approach that helped put Portland on the map as a destination for donut lovers.

We’ll finish nearby with one more delicious stop, giving you a final taste of Portland’s modern donut scene. Expect creative flavors and another completely different approach to this simple but endlessly adaptable treat.

The tour was quite long and it was difficult to keep the kids engaged. The donut store was the best stop where we got to choose a donut. At the rest of the stops the food items were pre ordered and we didn’t get a choice which was a bit disappointing. I was also unhappy that the tour ended at a different location to the starting point - we were handed a map and had to find our own way back. Having never been to Cork before, this wasn’t particularly easy and we had to run to catch our train back to Cobh.

Kat was a great guide. The donuts were delicious and she also included a lot of history of Toronto. The walk was an easy pace and gave us time to prepare for the next round. She provided us with other places to taste Toronto food and there was time to grab some of that food too. We loved the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto!
