Traveler reviews
Good, efficient, safe
Honestly very well organized. We got picked up at our hotel, the minican was airconditioned and comfortable. We had half an hour at the pier before boarding, there is multitude of snack options you can purchase. The boat trip felt safe and was efficient. Now what i really appreciated was that my husband forgot his phone in the minivan, we messaged the compny through whatsapp and they were kind enough to locate it and bring ut to us to koh lanta the next day. Thanks a lot!
Great trip
We had a great time with good staff and everyone was very nice and a great experience to do, lots to see in the way over
Don’t use! 1,5 hour trip took 2,5!!
Spare yourself the money, sweat and bad experience and take a big boat. This is by no means a speedboat. Ended up taking almost the same time from Phuket to Koh Lanta as using a ferry. They overload the boat with passengers so you’re basically cramped for 2,5 hours. Greedy business! Viator as well a, is greedy business. Because of the above stated I made a request for a refund. I was told that they would not provide any refund with no explanation why. This is outrageous, I was not provided the service I paid for. A 10 min delay is OK but 1 hour, 67%, is not! Will stop using Viator.
Chaos at Koh Lanta pier.
The pier for loading is undersized for the number of boats that board passengers do there. This leads to complete chaos for passengers, which is made worse by an absence of signage and insufficient staff to communicate to passengers. This no doubt makes the job of the workers much more difficult than it has to be. Communication at the post departure stops was also less than satisfactory or not existent.
Efficient way to get to Koh Lanta
The ride was choppy and jarring at times. I could see people with back problems struggling. The entire trip was about two hours. The boat company had good communication. The pier is easy to navigate. Bring money for a smoothly or snack at the pier while you wait.
