Itinerary
Take an iconic ferry boat from downtown Seattle, across Puget Sound, to Bainbridge Island on the way toward Olympic National Park.
Pass by: Travel across the Hood Canal floating bridge.
A scenic drive from the ferry terminal toward Olympic National Park.
Depending on the weather, we may visit the Elwha River ecosystem - home to the largest dam removal project on Planet Earth!
Pass by: There isn't a gate to pass through when you enter Olympic National Park. Instead, you suddenly notice the trees are bigger, the moss is greener, and you wouldn't be surprised if Sasquatch ambled out of the forest as you pass by. Encompassing nearly 1 million miles, Olympic National Park is another world.
A peaceful glacial lake surrounded by towering old growth forest, Lake Crescent looks like something out of a Tolkien book.
Peaceful nature walk to a beautiful waterfall hidden among giant old trees.
Depending on the weather, we may visit the North Coast of the Olympic Peninsula for a bit of tidepooling and photography.
When conditions are right, we'll drive up to Hurricane Ridge to experience the sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains, Salish Sea, and even all the way across to Victoria and Vancouver Island. In summer, we'll travel up to wander along the trails through the subalpine meadows and try to spot deer and marmots among the wildflowers. In winter, (road closure and weather dependent) we'll trek along the ridge on snowshoes and experience how beautiful the change of seasons can be.
We'll board the ferry once again from Bainbridge Island. As we come across the Sound, the sunset lights up the Seattle Skyline to welcome you back to the city.
Pass by: We'll drop you off back where we met you in the morning.

Traveler reviews
Gia’s so great!
Gia was so great! Very attentive, knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. She knew a lot about Seattle too! Very happy with the tour ☺️
Our naturalist guide,...
Our naturalist guide, Brent, was super knowledgeable about a broad spectrum of the history, flora and fauna of the park and it's surrounding area. He was very friendly and easy to talk to, as was the naturalist in training, Gia who was shadowing during our tour. In the time we had, we covered large swaths of Olympic NP. Hurricane ridge was magnificent, but, for me, the trails through the old growth forest felt like being transported to a different world and time. I would recommend to anyone looking to explore the park.
Great tour
