Great tour!
Very informative….our guide Dominick was funny which made the tour more enjoyable ….got to see so much of Newport!
Fun Day
Everything was great. tour guide jim was wonderful Professional and light hearted . Knowledgeable of the area and kept the paricipants involved. to get a snapshot view of newport and the exclusive mansions of the multi millionaire and billionaire class it was well worth it.
Comfortable, enjoyable and informative
It was very entertaining and informative about both Newport 's role in the development of America as an independent country as well as some of the more known politicians and businesses that supported Rhode Island. The driver was enthusiastic and funny even explaining the origin of the baseball field across the street . Rhode Island's military history and importance was a surprise. The trolley was comfortable and not so big that you felt lost. I think people need to know that picture taking along the ride was pretty impossible. But that actually helped you pay more attention to the stories!
Do the tour it’s a good deal
I definitely recommend taking the tour. It picks you up right on the waterfront by the parking garage and the bus stop. The trolleys are comfortable. The price is very fair for what you get, almost two hour guided tour around Newport. It is NOT hop on hop off. Our only issue was with our guide Dominic. He wasn’t the best guide we’ve ever had. I asked him a couple questions and he was short, bordering on rude, like I was annoying him. But during the tour he was fine.
Great way to see Newport...
