Full description

Your New York City donut adventure begins near Union Square, where some of Manhattan’s most exciting food, history, and neighborhoods come together. Over the next two hours, we’ll make our way from Union Square through Greenwich Village, enjoying incredible donuts while discovering the stories, architecture, and unmistakable energy of downtown Manhattan.

We’ll kick things off with our first delicious donuts of the day, featuring creative flavors and a modern spin on the classics. From there, we’ll head toward Union Square, one of New York’s great gathering places. For generations, this bustling public space has been a crossroads for New Yorkers, surrounded by historic buildings, shops, restaurants, and the constant movement that makes Manhattan so much fun to explore.

Leaving Union Square behind, we’ll continue west toward Greenwich Village. Along the way, your guide will share stories about the neighborhoods we pass through and the people, food, and culture that have shaped this part of New York.

Our next sweet stop brings us to a true New York donut experience. Here, we’ll enjoy more delicious donuts and get a taste of the classic side of the city’s donut culture. It’s a fun contrast to our first stop and proof that there’s no single way to make a great donut.

From there, we’ll turn south and make our way deeper into Greenwich Village, one of Manhattan’s most recognizable neighborhoods. The Village has long been associated with artists, musicians, writers, performers, and generations of New Yorkers who gave the neighborhood its independent spirit. As we walk, you’ll encounter tree-lined streets, beautiful townhouses, lively intersections, and the charming atmosphere that makes this area feel completely different from Midtown.

For our final stop, we’ll finish with another round of incredible donuts featuring bold flavors and plenty of personality. It’s the perfect finale after exploring several different sides of New York’s donut scene.

Come hungry and ready to explore. This family-friendly walking tour combines delicious donuts, Union Square, Greenwich Village, New York history, local culture, and plenty of fun into one sweet downtown Manhattan adventure.

The tour was quite long and it was difficult to keep the kids engaged. The donut store was the best stop where we got to choose a donut. At the rest of the stops the food items were pre ordered and we didn’t get a choice which was a bit disappointing. I was also unhappy that the tour ended at a different location to the starting point - we were handed a map and had to find our own way back. Having never been to Cork before, this wasn’t particularly easy and we had to run to catch our train back to Cobh.

Kat was a great guide. The donuts were delicious and she also included a lot of history of Toronto. The walk was an easy pace and gave us time to prepare for the next round. She provided us with other places to taste Toronto food and there was time to grab some of that food too. We loved the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto!
