Great experience
The class was great. Chef Erick did a good job. We have done quite a few similar classes and this was as good or better than any others. The meal that we prepared was fantastic- can’t wait to get home and try the recipes.
Fun, Fun, Fun!
Chef Eric was humorous, personal, and informative. There were 6 of us in this class. We made bbq shrimp with cheese grits, chicken and andouille gumbo, and banana foster with crepes and fire and ice cream. Lots of fun with chef, the cleanup staff, and other participants. Total time was over three hours to prep and cook the entrees, then eat our efforts, cook the banana foster and crepes. The chef provided the ice cream, rum and fire. All 6 of us had an enjoyable time. My wife and are including another class there when we return to New Orleans.
Learining to prepare, then eat some of the best local dishes makes a great date night that keeps on giving.
We took the Hands-On: Chicken and Andouille Gumbo, Gulf Fish with Brown Butter Amandine, Gulf Crab, served with Pecan Rice. Bananas foster with chef Renee. The chef was engaging, sharing local history related to each dish and fun personal stories. He divided his time between each group and facilitated our getting to know everyone. We had fun and learned a lot both about how to best prepare each dish and local restaurants to try and sites to see. Most important: our dinner tasted amazing and we have the recipes and tips to replicate it at home.
Great experience!
It was a lot of fun and we’d recommend the class! The host was knowledgeable and added to the experience! We may be going back for a hands on brunch class.
Yum yum and fun!!!
So much fun. Chef Greg was an amazing instructor. Food options were delicious and the beer/wine really topped it off. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting NOLA.
