Itinerary
The Rocky Massif of Montserrat has been declared as Natural Park in 1987, and characterised by the rounded shape of its peaks. This incredible 4000-foot wonder is easily recognizable by its ''serrated'' top from which it got his name. Once you reach the monastery, you have plenty of options and your guide will always adjust to your interests. We invite you to take an easy walk of around 30 min to enjoy one of the most astonishing views of the natural park, but if you wish you can also decide to enjoy other activities that the mountain offers.
Montserrat Basilica, located in the stunning Montserrat mountain range in Catalonia, Spain, is a revered site of pilgrimage and natural beauty. Known for housing the famous statue of the Black Madonna, La Moreneta, the basilica is a significant spiritual and cultural landmark. Its breathtaking setting amidst rocky cliffs offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making it a popular destination for both worshippers and tourists alike. Visitors can explore the basilica's rich history, beautiful architecture, and serene atmosphere, all while experiencing the spiritual energy that has drawn people since 12th century.
Decide with your small group of 8 pax if you want to enjoy a ride in the rack railway that will bring you at the top of the holy mountain. Enjoy astonishing views along the way.
If you wish, you can also decide to visit the Montserrat museum. It has an important section of early paintings, spanning the 13th to the 18th centuries, with works by El Greco, Caravaggio as well as a large collection of Catalan paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries that includes major names such as Fortuny, Rusiñol, Casas, Picasso and Dalí but also of French impressionism such as Chagall, Braque, Le Corbusier, Miró, Dalí and Picasso.

Traveler reviews
Montserrat Tour with Javi
The tour was good, the price was good, time to and from the monastery was not bad at all … but the tour guide Javi… WAS AMAZING!!! We had more fun just hanging out with the tour guide than anything else. Great sense of humor, engaging, gave us all great information about everything. Just all around great person to have as a tour guide. I give the tour a 5 star review, but Javi makes it a 6. I hope if you book a tour that you get Javi. I’m sure the others guides are good too…. But this guy knew everyone at the place.. he was like a rockstar there. Made us feel important too. You will see if you get him. BTW: make sure to ask him about his train story. 😂

Great Tour Must do
What a perfect excursion with a knowledgeable guide. Punctual pick-up and drop off. The guide did an amazing job, clear and concise and could answer questions. The tour allowed us time to roam on our own.
