Skilled, friendly guides make sure everyone feels safe and included, whether you’re a first-time paddler or a multi-generational group. River gear, including wetsuits and splash jackets, is provided. Experience Colorado's best beginner and family white water rafting on the Lower Browns Canyon and Milk Run sections of the Arkansas River. These trips are specifically designed for families and those new to rafting, with gentle Class I-II (occasionally II-III) rapids, beautiful mountain views, and plenty of opportunities for everyone to participate. Professional guides ensure a safe, fun experience for kids as young as 4, grandparents, and groups of varying abilities. Two trip options are offered: Lower Browns Canyon (Half Day) and Milk Run (Quarter Day), both featuring splashy but approachable rapids, scenic floats, and a relaxed pace, with free river gear and photos included on every trip.

Cancellation policy

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the activity starts

Quarter and Half Day trips are fully refundable (minus a $15 per person cancellation fee) if cancelled more than 48 hours before check-in. No refund if cancelled within 48 hours. Discounted trips are non-refundable but may be rescheduled with 48+ hours notice. Company reserves right to alter or cancel trips due to water conditions.

Check in 45 minutes before your trip. Meeting point is at the Wilderness Aware office. Trips run May–September, with water levels and conditions varying by season. All river gear provided; wetsuits and splash jackets recommended in colder weather. Minimum age requirements may vary with water levels.
