Volcano hiking is a wonderful day! Thanks Ottar
On a very wonderful day, the tour guide Ottor almost kept introducing knowledge points on the road. He explained the driver and the guide part-time, which was very professional and experienced. Friendly and enthusiastic. He took us on an unusual volcanic hiking route. The scenery was very beautiful. I felt it when I walked on the black magma land. Although the route was challenging, it added more fun. All this is possible because of Ottor, the best guide I have ever met in Iceland. He is like an old friend. Thank you! If Ottar is your guide, you have a really nice day.
Must do in Iceland
A wonderful tour with an amazing hike to the newest volcano in Iceland. Vjeran, our guide, was awesome and gave us all the time we wanted to explore and see the sights. Definitely recommend this when visiting
Miscommunication was costly and disruptive
I received a message the day before that my tour had been changed due to scheduling. This was listed as an upgrade to a full day, 10 hour volcano and sightseeing tour starting 2.5 hours earlier than originally booked. It seemed to me that this would replace the entire booking. Because of this, I booked a separate northern lights tour to supplement what was to be missed with the new agenda that was emailed to me. I received no other communication regarding the northern lights portion of my original booking until getting a call and email that my guide was looking for me and would be leaving in 2 minutes. Moving forward, any communication regarding modifications of the original booking should also summarize what is NOT being changed. That would’ve saved me about $120. Otherwise, the volcano hike and sightseeing tour were excellent. It is unfortunate that my memory of this tour will be how I had to pay twice for the northern lights due to poor communication from the tour company.
Went on a tour on Nov 29,...
Went on a tour on Nov 29, I wish I could remember who my tour guide and bus driver were (maybe Hindrik?) as they were amazing and knew so much stories about Iceland. The stories were so engaging and funny. While the volcano hike was a little strenuous, our guide made sure to check on us! Seeing the erupting volcano from afar was a story I tell everyone!
Such a cool experience
Omar was our tour guide and he was amazing. Very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and a great photographer. The hike itself was beautiful but I wouldn’t say it was easy. Pretty steep so keep that in mind. The sites were amazing and it was very cool to see the lava.
