Guests gear up in top quality waterproof gear and after a quick paddle lesson, will launch the canoe onto the Mendenhall Lake to start the journey. Surrounded by steep cliffs filled with Arctic terns, mountain goats, porcupines, and other wildlife; enjoy the serenity of this adventure deep into Alaska. Feel the cool brisk air coming off the glacier as the guide safely navigates the canoe to the best viewpoints of the blue crevasses and seracs on the toe of the Mendenhall Glacier. Unforgettable experience

It’s was an awesome experience! Lots of hard work paddling for 2 hours a total of 6.5 miles through rain and mist especially for first time paddlers, but Cortland our guide made it look easy. (It wasn’t). The views of both Nugget falls and Mendenhall glacier up so close was an amazing feeling and truly invigorating. We also had a fun group of other paddlers who we met for the first time. Overall a must do .

Total 10 out of 10!

Absolutely amazing excursion! We booked through our cruise line so did not know until meeting Hannah at the pier that the excursion would be operated by Liquid Alaska. I would book directly with them in a heartbeat again if I could. Hannah and Joe couldn’t have been more professional, entertaining, informative and fun! My daughter and I felt safe and well-informed the entire time, and Joe and Hannah kept the interesting info on local ecology, wildlife and culture coming. Coupled with the freakishly beautiful day we had, our experience at Mendenhall was a total 10 out of 10! I am very glad to have learned an authentic porcupine call, and have a newfound respect for Matthew McConaughey. Joe needs to polish his comedy act, but besides that, no complaints ;-) Thanks so much again! Keep it up. You guys rock!
