Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you toward Las Flores neighborhood. During the journey, you will learn about the city and the significance of this region.
Once at the train station, you will board the Puerto Mocho train and enjoy the coastal views while traveling through this recently revitalized area of Barranquilla. This route offers a different perspective of the city and its surroundings.
After arriving at Puerto Mocho station, you will continue by local motorcycle taxi (tuk-tuk) to La Virgen stop, where the walking portion of the experience begins. This short ride lets you experience local transportation while enjoying the landscape around you. From La Virgen, you will begin an easy walk of approximately 30 minutes toward the point where the Magdalena River meets the Caribbean Sea. Along the way, your guide will explain the environmental and cultural importance of this area while you enjoy panoramic views and photo opportunities. At the meeting point, enjoy time to appreciate this unique landscape where river and sea converge.
After returning from the walk, you will have free time at Puerto Mocho Beach to relax, enjoy the ocean breeze, swim if desired, or purchase food and drinks from local vendors (not included).
Once you call it a day, the guide and the driver will take you back to your hotel, completing a memorable experience across one of Barranquillaâs most distinctive natural settings.

Traveler reviews
A great time with a remarkable guide
The tour guide Yamit is what made this tour truly memorable. His expert knowledge ensured we had a truly great time. Not just in Barranquilla but in Colombia overall. He was so attentive and friendly and the five hours flew by. The journey to the tip of Barranquilla was pretty epic. The ride by motorcycle is both exhilarating and quite profound. When you see the fisherman doing their thing you'll understand what I mean. The boat ride is enjoyable but we didn't stop on the island. Not sure why but it all worked out because this gave us more time to learn about Colombia. We don't use tripadvisor that much in terms of booking trips. However, I must say that this particular tour gave us such amazing insider info that it was well worth price.
Bocas de Ceniza / Puerto Mocho
Good place to see the mouth of the Magdalena River but the arrival by Puerto Mocho is complicated from where I left the motorcycle taxi that I took at the train station
Magdalena River and Bocas De Ceniza
The tour was great and our guide was very nice. We really enjoyed the motorcycle ride to the bocas de ceniza. We also got a coconut water on the way!
This is unmissable
This was hands down the best trip we've had.. Victor & our driver and the motorcycle drivers and the boat operators second to none. Walked to to the epic meeting if the Caribbean and the Magdalena. This is a must in beautiful Barrinquillia.( And try to have Victor guide. ) From start to finish communication just brilliant. Worth every penny. đ
Disappointed
Tour cancelled 45 minutes after an agreed time change. Appalling lack of communication. Not much else to say
