Itinerary
Completed in approximately 1450 at the height of the Incan empire, Machu Picchu was abandoned less than 100 years later following the Spanish conquest of Peru. Today it is considered by many to be the new spiritual center of the world. From Cusco, you'll be transferred to the railway station to enjoy your 1.5-hour scenic rail tour to Aguas Calientes. We arrive at the Aguas Calientes station where our staff will assist us on boarding the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu, amid a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas. Energy is all around us. At the arranged time, we will take the train back to Cusco city.

Traveler reviews
Macchu Pichu and guided tour of Cusco
Cusco was our first stop in Peru. Pick up times were punctual and communication was clear. Our tour guide for the two days was Yuri and our whole tour group cannot say enough about him. He was knowledgeable and answered all our questions to help us understand the history and culture of Cusco & Macchu Pichu. Macchu Pichu was magnificent even though it was rainy on & off. Our schedule was thrown off when we were leaving Macchu Pichu as the line up for the buses were the longest Yuri had seen in all his years of guiding. Some of the other tourist probably cut their day short due to the rain causing for a mass exodus in the early afternoon. After waiting in line a while to see how fast the line was going to move, Yuri realized he had to take action to get us on the buses to catch our train which was the last one leaving Aguas Calientes that day. He we’re was able to move us up a couple at a time to catch buses to get back to Aguas Calientes to catch our train. Our whole group know Yuri went above and beyond. Thank you, Yuri! You’re the best!
