Itinerary
Pick up from your hotel at 8:00 am and drive to the train station of Poroy, just outside Cusco, where you will board the luxurious Hiram Bingham train. The journey takes about 3.5 hours to the train of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu pueblo). You will have personalized service, 3-course meals using local products, an observatory lounge with live music, and a balcony to enjoy the beautiful views of the Andes and Urubamba River. After 4-hours of travel from Cusco, you will arrive in Aguas Calientes and drive for 30 minutes on the private bus up to the Citadel of Machu Picchu; upon arrival and getting off the bus, you will explore Machu Picchu in a guided tour of one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. After the tour, enjoy afternoon tea at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, the only hotel located adjacent to the ancient Inca citadel. In the afternoon, your guide will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, explore, and later take the Hiram Bingham Train back to Poroy and van back to Cusco.

Traveler reviews
This wonder is awesome and unmissable
Machu Picchu fascinated me and it is worth spending several hours in this archaeological complex and not only 2 hours that are planned on this tour. The transportation, accommodation and friendliness of my guide were 10. Unfortunately there was very little historical information we received with this company. But overall it was a pleasant experience.
Great visit to Machu Picchu
The tour was great! We were picked up from the hotel and soon after arrived to the train. Travel by train was very nice, luxurious experience with great food and great views. It took us 2 hours to get to the Aguascalientas and then 30 minutes to get to the entrance to the Machu Picchu. Roberto, our guide, was waiting us at the entrance. We were travelling along the second route, which was great as we saw Machu Picchu from the vista at the start and then descended into the city itself and walked around it. Roberto told us about the history of the place, about Inca empire and traditions, along the way he described every place we saw, helped us to take a lot of pictures and altogether made our visit comfortable, interesting and educational. After the tour we returned to the hotel at the entrance to have a tea and then hoped on to the Hiram Bingham to travel back. We enjoyed the tour very much!
Incredible luxury tour of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
We had the most incredible time on this trip! Definitely book this tour if you want to hike to Machu Picchu. Our guide William Elvis, Chef Julio Cesar, Toribil and ALL his porters, waitress Etele, and massage therapist Esme were the best. They thought of everything on this trip- from beautiful meals, to gorgeously set up tents, to packed snacks, warm showers, our own bathroom, and wonderful nightly massages. We learned so much, had a once in a lifetime adventure, and felt like we were a family with this crew. William also took the best pictures of us, so we will always remember this trip. Everything was amazing!!!!
