Great way to spend a day on the water
Overall, this was a really enjoyable day on the water. The crew was warm, energetic, and did a great job creating a fun atmosphere. They will also really encouraging and especially helpful to guests who were afraid of getting in the water, which I thought was wonderful. We were greeted with a champagne cocktail upon arrival, and fruit skewers shortly after we departed. Not quite the light breakfast I anticipated so definitely make sure you eat before you board. There was an open bar throughout the cruise, and music playing as we sailed. The wooden schooner itself was a little different from the catamarans I'm used to, but it was charming and comfortable. I also appreciated that about half of the boat was covered, providing plenty of shade from the sun for the occasional rain shower. Once we anchored, there were plenty of activities to choose from, including tethered scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, or simply relaxing in the water hammock at the back of the boat. The hammock was especially popular. I think adding a second one might be a good idea because it was very popular that day. After concluding all of our water activities, we enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by Chef Jay, including fish, chicken, beef tenderloin, and vegetable skewers, along with pan bati (a local bread), pasta salad, green salad, and olive and cheese skewers. My only disappointing experience involved one of the crew members. During the cruise, I had place the Band-Aid on my injured finger, and this crew member felt the need to call a lot of unnecessary attention to it. Instead of simply asking if I was okay, he made several assumptions, insinuations, and jokes about my manicure, including suggesting I had taped on broken nail and asking if I'd been in a fight. Although the description mentioned a light breakfast, that was never provided. We were, however, served fresh fruit skewers shortly after departure, followed later by a delicious lunch prepared by Chef Jay, including fish, chicken, beef tenderloin, and vegetable skewers, along with pan bati, pasta salad, and green salad. My only disappointing experience involved one crew member. I had a Band-Aid on an injured finger, and instead of simply asking if I was okay (or ignoring it completely), he instead he voiced several assumptions and made jokes about my manicure, including suggesting I had taped up a broken nail and asking if I'd been in a fight. It came across as strangely presumptuous, unnecessarily personal, and otherwise an awkward way to start a conversation with a guest he'd just met. I tried to steer the conversation in a different direction, but he continued returning to the subject despite my attempts to move on. It was a very odd an inappropriate way to interact with someone he just met. It didn't ruin the day, but it was incredibly off-putting and something I hope the crew addresses with a bit more professionalism and awareness in the future. Aside from that interaction, I had a wonderful time. The rest of the crew was fantastic, the activities were well organized, and I would recommend this excursion to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun day on the water. 10/10 Must Do!
My friend and I booked the Luxury Cruise with Pelican Adventures on our first full day in Aruba, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip! We had such an amazing time that we spent the rest of the week saying we wished we could do it all over again. We were both pretty nervous about snorkeling since we're not very experienced, but Andy and Franyel were absolutely incredible. They made us feel safe from the moment we got in the water, kept a close eye on everyone, and were always there to help if needed. They completely eased our nerves and made this the best snorkeling experience we've ever had. The atmosphere on the boat was so much fun! Captain Steve did an excellent job, and the entire crew was friendly, welcoming, and professional. Chef Jay prepared a delicious meal, and the open bar was fantastic—it wasn't just cheap mixed drinks. You could order whatever you'd like, which was such a nice touch. We also loved that the boat wasn't overcrowded. There were enough people to create a fun, lively atmosphere, but it still felt comfortable and personal. A huge thank you to Captain Steve, Andy, Franyel, Chef Jay, and the entire crew for making our day so memorable. If you're visiting Aruba and looking for an unforgettable experience, I can't recommend Pelican Adventures enough. We would absolutely book this cruise again!
Beautiful boat ride
Beautiful experience. The staff is very kind and friendly. Great lunch.
Luxury Snorkel with Amazing Lunch / Open Bar /
Slightly more expensive than bargain snorkel trips , but worth it . 1) this is a large uncrowded sailboat 2) it has plenty of covered area 3) ice cold champagne cocktail handed to you as you board ) it goes south to an area not frequented by the majority of the other snorkel trip operators ( though just 1 snorkel area b/c of longer transit cruising ) 4) open bar with craft cocktails … my wife and I agree that the mojitos were restaurant quality 5) the lunch was amazingly delicious with skewers of beef / chicken / fish with accompanying sauces for each , an impressive salad , and pasta salad as good as your mommas 6) a cooler full of iced beers brutally cold and refreshing g after a snorkel 7) most importantly , the captain and crew were exceptionally professional , funny , and a pleasure to meet … they were proud ambassadors of this luxury experience…. I’ve been to Aruba over 40 times , and while this was my first trip on this boat , it will not be my last …
Best day on the Montforte!
We had an amazing day aboard the Montforte III! The crew was incredibly attentive and clearly prioritized everyone’s safety throughout the trip. Although we couldn’t visit the Spanish Lagoon due to high winds, they quickly arranged an alternative snorkeling spot and kept the energy and vibes high the entire time. The food and drinks were easily the best we’ve experienced on any excursion—truly top-notch. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would absolutely recommend this cruise to anyone visiting Aruba!
