Itinerary
Begin by meeting your guide under the statue of Louis XIV in front of the famous glass pyramid, and learn all about the history of this building before it became the museum we know and love today.
Your Louvre Museum Tour will take you to all of the most iconic paintings and sculptures housed in two of this massive museum's three wings. Your guide will highlight the most influential works from a wide range of periods including Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, the Renaissance, Neoclassicism and Romanticism. In the Ancient Egypt collections, take a close look at the sleek granite Great Sphinx of Tanis, considered to be the biggest and best-preserved in any Western museum. Explore two of Ancient Greece's globally recognizable sculptures - the armless Venus de Milo and the headless Winged Victory of Samothrace, universally considered some of the best-surviving original Hellenistic sculptures. See Paolo Veronese's Wedding Feast of Cana, JacquesLouis David's Coronation of Napoleon, Théodore Géricault's Raft of Medusa, and more. And of course, the Mons Lisa! Of all the thousands of paintings housed in the Louvre, Da Vinci's Mona Lisa remains its most popular and enigmatic work.

Laurent - Best of the Best
Laurent was an amazing tour guide. He gave us the most incredible experience within the Louvre. We will absolutely book with him again!
Touring the Louvre with Kasia
Kasia was a terrific guide! She is an artist and has an art education training. She was able to tell us all about the history and techniques of exhibits and the Louvre itself.
Very detailed with...
Very detailed with interesting background information. Covered a lot of the museum. I would do it again!
Lovely morning at the Louvre & Musee D’Orsay
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Ruth through the Louvre and Musee D’Orsay. As a fellow art historian, I enjoyed the way she made connections and wove a story throughout both museums. Would definitely love to learn more from her on another tour!
Adam at the Louvre was unforgettable. Hands down our favorite guide of the entire trip.
We did the private evening Louvre tour with Adam and honestly, we walked in expecting an art history lesson and walked out feeling like we had spent the afternoon with our own personal Leonardo da Vinci. Adam is actually a PhD scientist whose work involves analyzing when and how art was restored, so when he speaks about a painting or marble, you are getting genuine expertise from someone who studies these works at a forensic level. Combine that with his depth across art history, architecture, mythology, religion, and culture, and you have a guide who pulls connections between pieces and eras in a way that makes everything click. We never felt lectured. We felt invited in. What made it even more special is how fun he was. Genuinely funny, engaging, and warm. He kept making references to "Team Adam" throughout the tour, which had us laughing and totally bought into the experience. By the end of the night Jairo and I were joking we needed Team Adam tattoos to remember our Paris trip. He also took some photos of us in front of pieces that we are absolutely getting framed when we get home. Not the typical tourist snapshots either. Real photographs, with composition and care. If you are booking a private Louvre tour through Liv Tours, request Adam. He will turn what could be a checklist visit into one of the best memories of your trip. Thank you Adam, and thank you Liv Tours for the experience. Team Adam forever.
