seemed pricey for what was on offer
my friend and I decided against taking this hop on/off. We looked at the route and could see it did much the same route as the city bus from the high street. it travels through mostly residential areas not a scenic route. We found we could pay £4.30 for a 24 hour ticket on the arriva bus (we used them 2 days) that takes you to places such as conwy or Rhyl rather less than the £15 one round trip price we were quoted on the hop on bus. yes you miss the open top of course but given it covers mostly residential areas im not sure what you are missing.
good views
very busy, managed to get a front seat on the top deck. good commentary all the way through, very knowledgeable. Got off in Conway for a wander around. Had quite a wait for the return bus, heavy traffic and narrow streets. sat upstairs again, lovely views, good commentary again on the return journey. most people got off/on in Conway. Dog friendly
Copper mine trip
Just be weary of what trip you book There are many different ones if you just want to do the copper mines trip you can't the tram back you have to wait for the bus back
Llandudno & Conwy tour.
Plenty of information offered during the trip around Llandudno, Conwy & Deganwy. The drivers were very friendly. Even though my trip was booked online and I had a QR code, the driver cannot check it, we are requested to go to the kiosk to have a paper ticket issued. Having said that even though I did not get on at the first pick up point the driver still accepted my QR code and asked me to get a paper ticket at point no.1. I managed to do that without any problem Thank you to all concerned.
Don’t trust the pickup times!
Do not trust the brochure times - waited an hour for pickup instead of the every 30 minutes promised, as the driver had to take lunch and his relief driver did not show up. At the end of the day, it showed a 4:30 or 5pm last trip back to Conwy, and the driver came at 4:20 saying the last trip was 4pm, no more rides. Clearly the brochure times are only suggestions and you’re better off taking the city bus instead to get back and forth between towns.
