Not to be recommended

A bit of a dissenting voice here but I could not recommend this your based on our experience. We spent most of the tour stopped at bus stops with the driver ducking in and out for reasons that weren’t apparent other than trying yo sell more tickets and providing tourist advice to random tourists. At one point we stopped in a bus depot for 5 minutes - I have no idea why. The commentary was interesting but we needed it! We abandoned the tour half way through. A wasted £20

Well run and good fun

The service was excellent and we used it several times in one day as a taxi service for getting around town. The audio guide was perfectly timed and informative. Would definitely recommend especially for anyone in their senior years who doesn’t want to walk too much but still wants to get to see the sights.

Hop on/off improved version

I expected the usual pre-recorded commentary vua ear buds, but was surprised to find we had an actual guide on board who used a microphone and was seated on the top deck with us. This made the tour more personal. We still had the sights pointed out and information given, but we could speak to the person and ask questions, and be responded to. It was so much nicer. Our second guide, Peter, was particularly good. Both made recommendations about where to get off for different attractions and advice. If you wanted you could tune into a different languge or even the the English one.
