Beautiful lake cruise

I took the Roam Transit bus to Lake Minnewanka and was lucky enough to buy the last seat on the first cruise of the day before the forecasted rain started. The tour was an hour long and our guide and captain Will and Hayden were both great. We learned a lot about the history of Lake Minnewanka and Banff. At the far end of the lake they shut off the engines and we just floated in silence for a few minutes which was really cool. The scenery along the lake is breathtaking. The boat is enclosed but the windows open for fresh air and photos. There is also an area on the back of the boat where you can go outside and take pictures during the cruise.

Wonderful

Delightful, informative 1-hour cruise with friendly, enthusiastic captains Ben and Pat. If you can afford it, it's a worthwhile and memorable experience.

Who wouldn’t want a boat ride on a beautiful mountain lake?

We have to admit we lucked out that we had partly cloudy skies and 14 Degrees Centigrade instead of the forecasted rain and cold. They are very organized with assigned seating instead of the madhouse chase for window seats. Visibility all around the cabin with wonderful vistas of the surrounding mountains and rock formations. Madi was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide and Emily was an excellent captain. Stopping in the middle of the lake with engines off for 10 minutes of quietly taking it in was a reminder of the sacred creation those who originally lived here appreciated.
