Itinerary
The crew of Mr. Tu will pick you up from the hotel lobby on Samui and bring you to Bang Rak Pier where you will get useful information about the trip. After a light breakfast, you will cruise aboard the convenient speed boat in less than 90 minutes to Koh Nangyuan. As soon as you arrive on Nangyuan Island, the first thing you will do is hike to the top of the spectacular viewpoint. It takes around 15 minutes to get to the top and we recommend hitting it as early as possible to avoid the crowds. Besides the viewpoint, you can spend time at the beach where a plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas are available to rent. At noon the beach is pretty crowded, but the fine white sand and the crystal clear water make up for that a bit. There are a few separate swimming areas on Koh Nangyuan - the Japanese Reef Garden is certainly one of the most impressive snorkel spot. The water is very shallow at the beginning with fine sand. After that it will be a little bit stony because the underground is full of corals, that’s why the water color is so beautiful. Continue to Koh Tao where you will enjoy a Thai style lunch in Montra Resort near Mae Haad Pier. Some of the most beautiful beaches dot the east coasts which are difficult to reach on the road. You will make several snorkel stops at Ao Hin Wong and Kluay Thoen Bay (Lighthouse Bay). With all the exhaustion of the sightseeing, sunbathing and snorkeling, you’ll need to have some refreshments after arrival at the pier on Samui, before returning to your hotel. Traveler reviews
Horrendous
This trip was horrendous and dangerous. The boat was shabby and the life jacket smelt of stale vomit. It has to be one of the worst boat trips I have been on . It was like sitting at a bus
Note of sincere appreciation.
We had a wonderful snorkeling experience. My father had an unfortunate mishap on 30th Dec while getting off the speed boat at Koh Samui on return leg of our snorkelling outing. He misjudged while getting off from the boat onto the pier and fell injuring his shoulder and groin. The pain was intense and he had to be helped to reach the office area of boat company. The staff there were extremely helpful and immediately called an ambulance which came within 7-8 minutes, left along with Mr Tu who came with us to provide help and assistance at the hospital. He stayed with us right through the documentation, first aid and Xray till the dislocated rt shoulder joint was reset by the Doctor after giving me sedation and painkillers. Since our boat journey ticket covered insurance, Mr Tu told us that they would cover the treatment expenses of approx 11000 Bath incurred at the hospital, and we did not have to pay anything. Mr Tu left only after seeing us off when we left by taxi to our place of stay at Koh Samui. His confident demeanor, reassuring presence and managing the Thai language interactions with the hospital staff were a big help to us in this crisis situation in a foreign land. We are extremely grateful to him. Suggestion - Would have been nice if our boat had transparent glass panels as against covered, we could have enjoyed the sea views. Plus they should be extra careful with the elderly people.
Terrible speedboat trip Koh Nang Yuan & Tao
Terrible speedboat trip – Dec 9, 2025 Our boat broke down, had to be changed in unexpected port. Seas were rough, which was not indicated by captain or tour guide before the trip. Very bumpy ride took 2.5 hours instead of 1.5. Around 30% of passengers vomited by the end of prolonged 2,5hours and who managed to do not, could be sure s/he was sitting close to the person who did. Due to speed boat issues our program was changed and we had very little time at Koh Nang Yuang. When we asked about a oartial refund, the guide dismissed us that office is far and he can not do anything. Staff were kind, but overall this was a stressful, overpriced experience for family (6,500 THB). ⚠️ Not recommended to use this company especially for families or elderly, although other age groups were also affected.
Our second, exceptional boat trip with Mr Tu! 🤩🐠🐟🐡🤿🫶
I can’t say enough good things about this trip! Fantastic team who can’t do enough to help you. Comfy boat, good quality snorkle equipment and a delicious lunch. All amazing. My family will remember this trip for a long time. Thank you. 🙏🏻🙌🏻💕🫶🤿🐟🐠🐡
Lovely tour, get ready to look like a salty sea dog!
We had a wonderful trip! They picked us up at our hotel on time. When we arrived we had very limited time to have the light breakfast, about 5 minutes but we stuffed our pieholes with the yumminess and jumped onto the boat! The ride there was fine, nice and calm. We stopped at Mango Bay which was by far the best place to snorkel but my only complaint was that they didn't oil our masks at this stop because this was the best viewing! The masks kept misting up. Then we went to the lighthouse and jumped into the sea. Here they oiled the masks and the world of difference it made was immense! Then we went for a delicious lunch. Honestly, really yummy food! The last stop the weather unfortunately started to change which made it a little bit miserable to chill on the beach but the snorkeling was also lovely. Saw some awesome sea slugs and a massive hermit crab. The ride back however was not ideal! The waves smashing on the boat and us going flying through the air was a laugh at first but then people started to get greener and greener. Obviously not the tours fault but if you have a bad back, this wouldn't be good for you! Our guide Win was fabulous "choppy choppy 10 minutes" has become a saying on our holiday now! I would definitely recommend this trip. If you love stalking fish, this is for you!
