Clean fish and happy fish
This aquarium was small but clean. You didn’t get a strong yucky fish smell when entering. The funny part is there is a fish food truck right outside the entrance. I bet the mischievous ones get fed to them. The shark feeding experience didn’t disappoint.
Great place if traveling with kids
The aquarium is one of the things you really feel like you need to do while in Key West. It's pretty small and does not have a wide variety of animals. We did see upside down jellyfish which neither of us had seen before, but everything else was the same as other aquariums. There are some great live sessions where you can learn about fish, turtles, etc. We went to the outside area where fish can swim into it directly from the ocean. We caught a glimpse of a shark tail and one of the staffers confirmed that they have a nurse shark in there. It wasn't very crowded when we were there but it wasn't peak season either. We were there about an hour or so. We did not watch any of the films, so I can't speak to their quality. We may have missed out.... This would be great if you are traveling with kids.
We had a wonderful visit!
The aquarium was smaller and older, but was very clean with very knowledgeable staff. We enjoyed the shark feeding. They have so many different shows and tours that you can see one regardless of when you get there. We really enjoyed it!
Fun time!
Fun and informative afternoon visit to the aquarium.
Family friendly
Admission was easy and personnel was friendly. Nice variety of sea turtles 4/7 species. One of my favorite activities was watching Lola get her prosthetic flipper attached.
