Itinerary
Switch from our bus to a super-jeep as you embark on this spectacular oddyssey to a natural blue ice cave on Kötlujökull glacier. Our expert glacier guides, with decades of experience, guide you safely through this extreme environment as we check out the beautiful blue ice cave and ice formations. We kit you out in crampons, harness and safety helmet for this unforgettable experience. The total experience takes around 3 hours. Please be advised: Due to the ever-changing nature of ice caves, we can't promise that the view during your tour will be identical to the images shown. Glaciers' and ice caves' appearance can differ based on factors such as the season, time of day, lighting conditions, and other variables.
Vík is one of Iceland´s most picturesque villages. It sits on the wild southern coastline, and is surrounded by magnificent scenery, including black sand beaches and basalt sea stacks. Overlooking the village sits Vikurkikja church, which boasts a studenous view.
We leave Vík and journey back west towards the capital, but not before two more essential South Coast hot-spots. First up is Skógafoss waterfall, a powerful natural wonder that leaves visitors awe-inspired. Cascading from a height of 60 meters and spanning a width of 25 meters, the powerful falls generate a constant mist, creating vibrant rainbows on sunny days. Framed by lush greenery and surrounded by dramatic cliffs, Skógafoss offers a breathtaking backdrop for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike. Accessible by a scenic staircase, the viewing platform at the top provides a stunning panorama of the waterfall and the surrounding landscapes, making Skógafoss a must-see destination for those exploring Iceland's spectacular scenery.
Seljalandsfoss waterfall is one of Iceland´s enduring icons. Famed for its wonderous walking trail that allows visitors to walk behind the falls, Seljalandsfoss is an essential stop on any south coast tour. After our 45 minute stop here, we continue on our way back to the city.

Traveler reviews
Very cool.
There were two guides on this tour, one who did the waterfalls and black sands in a mini bus and one who did the glacier and a beach in the 4x4. The best bit was the mini bus guide who picked me up showed me the waterfalls and drove us home. Although the glacier tour part was incredible and the driver was very capable, we drove on the beach at one point and I couldn’t see anything as I was on the side away from the shoreline so that was disappointing. I also felt like as a solo traveller I kind of got a bit ignored and out crowded by the larger groups I was with. However it did give me sometime to separate and sit outside the cave on glacier to just exist in the snow with the ravens and arctic fox tracks which was truly magical. I can’t say enough good things about the mini bus guide, he got me home in time to see the concert I was booked for and he was just smart, funny, intelligent and kind. It’s tough the over tourism in Iceland especially as a lot of people want to just check boxes and not exist and absorb the beauty quietly. I recommend this experience for sure, but wear proper shoes (one girl had trainers and no socks) and respect nature by being present and pausing.
Tour conducted by another company.
The company sent me a statement on the eve of the tour informing me that I would not take the tour, but they made the same tour available to me at another company. The ride at the other company was spectacular, without any problems.
A must see!!
Drivers were really friendly and safe. Beautiful experience. There is alot of time spent on the buses but the views are spectacular all throughout.
Katla!
The super jeep ride, walk on the glaciers terrain and ice cave exploration was superb, thanks to Wilmer who made light stressful moments as he navigated difficult terrains.
Highly recommend!
Not only was this your fantastic, but our guide had some of the best time management skills I’ve seen! A different tour we took we only got 10-15 minutes each stop when we were supposed to get 30-45 for the golden circle. This tour we were a little worried it would be similar, though our guide was on top of every stop! We got like 40 minutes every stop and that gave us time for photos and to enjoy the scenery. I’ve cave was amazing! This was a 10/10 tour!
