Traveler reviews
A pretty tough trip, but worth all the effort
This was one of the most amazing adventures I have ever had, significantly enhanced by Roger and Yovany who were our guides for the four day trek not forgetting to mention chef Daniel and the team of Porters who supported us every step of the way. There is some pretty serious trekking involved with this trip with significant ups and downs and outstandingly beautiful mountainous countryside with amazing views and Inca ruins along the way finishing up in the ancient city of Machu Picchu. Myself and my friend Kate also did the additional climb up Waynapicchu giving us spectacular views of the Machu Picchu site. This is another steep climb but not as impossible as it first looks. We ended the trip with dinner in a local restaurant and probably the most entertaining train journey I’ve ever had. Thanks again to Roger and Yovany for an amazing time and your exceptional knowledge of the Inka Trail and Machu Picchu site
The four day trek to Machu Picchu was challenging at times, especially with the rain, but also a valuable experience.
Hard journey worth the effort!
Well organized inca trail
Starting with the food: absolutely fantastic! Just like the tourguide and the whole organization of the trail.
Incredible, unforgettable, outstanding, a must do if wanting to hike in Peru
Absolutely unforgettable trek and a must do if wanting to hike in Peru. Our guide, Nilton was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and taught us so much about the local history, culture and geology/geography of the area. Leonardo, our chef prepared outstanding hot, fresh, nutritious, hearty meals showcasing many local Peruvian dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, Our porters and horse guides ensured that we arrived every day to a fully set up camp each evening, as well as preparing snacks and teas for us to have at rest stops. Overall, it was an incredible experience with staggering views of the Andes and an incredibly accommodating team to support us, would recommend to anyone and everyone wanting a challenging but rewarding hiking experience in Peru.
Unforgettable Experience
Speechless! Absolutely amazing experience provided by Nilton and Leonardo. An authentic Peruvian adventure that resulted in each day exceeding the previous. The cultural enrichment, traditional foods, hiking paths and amazing scenery was something we were constantly pinching ourselves over. In true Peruvian style, we felt a deep connection to the land/nature and its people. Regardless of the time of year, I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Nilton and Leonardo and the support crew involved!
