See and photograph the large seal colony from the boat in Howth harbour and around Irelands Eye. Safety is not prioritised!
Took the boat trip around Dublin Bay with my sister and parents (both 79 years old). This excursion should never have happened, as the sea was far too rough to be safe. The captain said we "might get a little splashed", but the waves coming over the side of the boat left us completely drenched, even sitting as close to the middle as we could. At one point, the boat pitched so violently to one side that my mother was sent to the floor. To make matters worse, no one on board was issued a life-vest. This company is more interested in proceeding with tours in unsafe conditions than doing the right thing and cancelling trips on days when the sea is too choppy. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I genuinely feared for my mother's life -- she uses a cane to walk and can barely swim; it would've been difficult to get her to dry land had the vessel capsized. This is a shameful company and they should be embarrassed for themselves.
Incredible experience
Incredibly good experience you got to see lots of birds and seals. Nice also with small group so was easy to take pictures and videos. Recommend this tour in front of the others who are there
Water tour
While it was fun to be out on the water, the waves made it a little bit difficult to get around to the backside of the island that we are going to see so we hung out mostly in the harbor. For the amount of time that we were out there we didn't see as much as we had hoped. The crew was great!
Saw puffins! Great way to spend an hour of your time
Small group boat tour around the island. What a great way to spend an hour. We saw puffins, seals, and a variety of other birds. Getting up close to the island and viewing it from the boat was really nice. Great time!
An Unforgettable Wildlife Experience at Ireland’s Eye
This was such a fun experience, and I couldn’t believe how close we were able to get to Ireland’s Eye. What made it especially memorable was seeing so many puffins. I wasn’t sure we’d spot any, but we ended up seeing at least 30! The other seabirds were absolutely beautiful as well, and the seals were incredibly cute.
