Meet your guide at Howth Market and start your adventure walking along the beautiful, spot the local seals at the the famous and historic Harbour.
Walk through time along the village paths and the old Abbey originally built by King Sitric the Viking.
Climb to the top of Howth Head with panoramic views, north, south, east and west which HG Wells famously described as the most beautiful views in the world.
Hike across the heathlands and blankets of wild flowers to Howth Summit overlooking out the Baily Lighthouse and Dublin Bay Biosphere, getting the real insider tracks and local tales with your local guide along the way.
See the house where WB Yeats once lived and take in the fabulous views of the harbour and Ireland's Eye and Lambay Islands from the Martello Tower which was built to protect against a possible invasion from Napoleon
Take in the world famous cliff path views and amazing views of Howth Harbour, Ireland's Eye and Lambay Island surrounded by nature and wildlife.
After the tour, continue your Howth Adventure and choose one of the fabulous restaurants, bars and cafes back at the village and harbour.

An Unforgettable Experience, 11/10 💛
Zack and his family have created an incredible tour experience! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in great hands. Their Howth Coastal Hiking Tour was informative, safe, fun, and FULL of breathtaking views! Zack and his fabulous assistant Loki the dog felt like old friends by the end! Zack also kindly took pictures and videos throughout the tour, that I know our family will cherish. This was truly the highlight of our Ireland trip and we can’t recommend this enough! Bonus points for stopping for (amazing) ice cream mid hike and running into his mom on a tour! There’s something special about a family business, and this one is 11/10. Thank you Howth Adventures for an unforgettable experience!
Great Howth Tour!
Fantastic tour with Zack and Loki!! Getting a local perspective on Howth really made our trip special, and to see the passion and dedication that Zack and the rest of Howth Adventure has for the peninsula is amazing! Would love to come back for a longer hike and if you’re someone thinking of booking, you should absolutely do it!!
Breathtaking views on a great hike!
Truly amazing day. Great hike, beautiful scenery, and Leone was an excellent guide! I went with my 18 year old son and we both had a blast! Leone was able to navigate a delicate situation with an older hiker that was slowing the group down, as well as she was able to navigate the terrain! Memorable day for sure!
BEST experience with this tour!
My husband and I had the absolute BEST hike experience with our guide, Matt. A native of Howth, Matt had incredible passion and life stories to share about all things Howth! From fairies, to hurling fields, to Vikings, to Dublin Bay prawns (yum), we had an amazing hike in mist, fog, rain, wind and sun! A perfect day in Ireland! Matt brought the Howth area to life for us and we will be forever grateful for his kindness and teaching.
A fantastic tour of the Howth coast!
This coastal hiking tour in Howth was one of the highlights of my Dublin trip. In just three hours, our guide Matt covered thousands of years of Irish history, all while we walked along some genuinely stunning coastline. He was incredibly knowledgeable and a lot of fun and personable, making the whole experience feel more like hanging out with a friend than a typical tour. If you're looking for great views and great storytelling in one outing, highly recommend this one!
