Full description
Next, we’ll make our way to the Boston Public Market, a cozy indoor marketplace filled with local vendors offering a taste of New England’s finest ingredients. Here, you’ll enjoy warm cider donuts, a seasonal favorite made with apples from nearby orchards. Surrounded by the comforting aromas of the holidays, we’ll dive into Boston’s agricultural history and how the region’s harvest traditions have shaped its festive food culture.
After that, we’ll stop nearby to sample more incredible donuts that capture the spirit of the season, featuring creative flavors inspired by classic holiday ingredients. As you indulge, we’ll reflect on the Public Market’s role in bringing together local farmers, artisans, and makers, especially during this time of year when community and celebration take center stage.
Our final stop takes us to the North End, Boston’s iconic Italian neighborhood, where the streets are lined with twinkling lights and holiday charm. Here, you’ll visit Bova’s Bakery, famous for its Boston Cream Donut. This rich, indulgent treat feels right at home during the holidays, offering a sweet finish to the tour. As you savor every bite, we’ll reflect on the North End’s history and traditions, from its Italian roots to its enduring place as one of Boston’s most festive and beloved neighborhoods.

Reviews
The tour was quite long and it was difficult to keep the kids engaged. The donut store was the best stop where we got to choose a donut. At the rest of the stops the food items were pre ordered and we didn’t get a choice which was a bit disappointing. I was also unhappy that the tour ended at a different location to the starting point - we were handed a map and had to find our own way back. Having never been to Cork before, this wasn’t particularly easy and we had to run to catch our train back to Cobh.
It was a pleasant tour our guides new the area very well
Kat was a great guide. The donuts were delicious and she also included a lot of history of Toronto. The walk was an easy pace and gave us time to prepare for the next round. She provided us with other places to taste Toronto food and there was time to grab some of that food too. We loved the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto!
