Seeing whales
Hermanus is definitely worth visiting and especially during whale season! Opted not to do boat tour due to weather and was still able to see whales from the Cliffs near town.
Good day
Great day overall. Pick up was convenient and timely. Driver/guide Chris was very helpful, friendly, and informative. Re: whale boat ticket- not included in booking- was sent a message the day before given two companies to try and secure a seat for myself. One company was already fully booked, luckily I was able to claim a spot at the right time with the other company. I’d have been disappointed if I booked this tour and wasn’t able to get on a boat (which was the case for about half the group). The boat ride itself was great- the crew was experienced, very professional, and considerate. One made sure I had a good view of the whales which I really appreciated. I got a few good videos.

Everything was great. The vehicle was comfortable, the guide was super polite, and we managed to spot the whales!
A Wonderful Way to Experience Hermanus
This trip was a wonderful way to experience some of what Cape Town has to offer beyond the city. Although the weather didn’t allow for the boat trip, our guide, took us to several excellent land-based viewing spots, giving us different perspectives and opportunities to see and experience the whales. The routes to and from Hermanus were slightly different, keeping the journey interesting. Our guide, Brahms consistently shared interesting facts, local information and highlights. His knowledge and enthusiasm really added to the experience and made the day thoroughly enjoyable.
Excursion to remember
It was a very interesting excursion: unfortunately we could not go on the cruise to see the whales because of the terrible weather with wind and rain, but the guide took us to a point on the road that runs along the beach where we were able to see these splendid animals in their movements. Overall we were very happy. In addition to whale watching, we saw the various aspects of the Cape Region. The driver/guide, whose name I unfortunately don't remember, was excellent.
