This was a great tour....
This was a great tour. Elly was our guide and she was very knowledgeable about everything we saw as well as everything we drove past. She made it a lot of fun for us and we thought everything was well paced. The sights themselves really need no review, they're all amazing. There is quite a bit of walking involved and some stairs if you want to see everything.
Great excursion to see as much as possible. Would do again
Day was thoughtfully planned to see as much as possible and I loved that it ended at the spa and we could stay as long as we wanted and still have transportation back to where we were picked up at.
The whole tour was...
The whole tour was relaxed. Our tour guide was knowledgeable in all aspects with a great sense of humor. Ending at the Sky Lagoon was the best treat. The only missing information was the transfer to the Sky Lagoon. We weren’t sure of timing and transfer, but our guide made a phone call and we were then set !
Not picked up
The bus did not pick us up at the scheduled time. The reason given was that we had not given our pick up location. We were a group of 8 people and know that definitely we had entered this information when booking. When we called to say that we were not picked up we were then given a later pick up time. Once again we were not picked up. This time the reason was that we were not there even though our group of 8 were waiting 30 min before the time. We were then told that the bus was gone but if we went to the bus depot we might be able to get on. They sent a van to pick us up. When we arrived there and argued our case we were transported to meet up with the tour bus which was waiting (with a busfull of irate passengers). I honestly don't know if the problem was with Viator or the tour provider but it was definately communication problem. Once we finally got started, the tour itself was fantastic with scenes not be witnessed anywhere else. The tour guide was very knowledgeable providing us with information of Iceland. The Sky Lagoon is incredible with its infinity pool on the Arctic Ocean and cleansing ritual. An experience not to be missed.
Bus pickup from the hotel...
Bus pickup from the hotel was easy. The bus was very comfortable, and the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The attractions are extraordinary and well worth the 6-hour trip.
