Very great tour with a great tour guide. The busses are quite small so just be prepared. Be patient with the pick up, they pick up straight from most hotels which is great but if you’re one of the last hotels (like I was) it can be up to an hour late. Well worth the money in every way though. The sights were beautiful and it was plenty of time at each.

Great tour if you're short on time and want to see some highlights

We had a great day doing the small group Golden Circle tour (booked via Viator) with Peter as our driver. Communication prior to the tour was good, with a reminder email, and clarification in relation to our pick up point, which included photos of the bus stop. We also had cause to cancel a place a few days beforehand and that was dealt with swiftly and a refund issued accordingly. Our pick up point (by the church) was the first, we arrived just before 8:50 for a 9am departure and the bus was already there, we headed off soon after. The bus (19 seater) just had one free seat. I had wondered if the 8 hours might be a bit long for the teens, but we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The landscape between the various stops was ever changing and very varied. I could have happily spent the day just driving round looking out of the window! Although it was busy at the various stops, they are 'nicely done' with walkways, facilities (as a whole) and often one way systems in places. The tour often drops at one place and picks up at another so you don't have to walk out and back (obviously saves on time too). Peter clearly pointed out the pick up points and departure times. The stops were generally just long enough, we certainly didn't spend any time sitting twiddling our thumbs. There was some commentary enroute, but not loads, which I liked. This may be obvious, but there is a fair amount of walking involved in the tour, and often the paths involve steps or uneven surfaces. Originally my mum (75) was due to come with us, and I think she made the right decision not to, by the end of the day (I'd also wandered to the bakery in the morning and we headed out for dinner in the evening) I'd walked almost 22,000 steps!

Great experience from...

Great experience from start to finish. Driver/host was very informative. Ahead of crowds and we had extra time they made a cpl of extra stops for us. Great day.

I would definitely recommend this trip!

Our guide was very accommodating to other passengers with a disabled person and another person who had to get to the airport a couple of hours after the tour ended..she helped arrange a taxi for them. The guide I can’t remember her name was not Icelandic (Greek) but she had quite a bit of knowledge to share although her accent was a little hard to understand. But all in all the trip went very well we got to see everything and she gave good instructions on where she would be waiting to pick us up at each stop. She factored in a lunch stop aswell.

Golden Circle

Guide was excellent. Smaller group meant less time rounding up strays. Meeting place busy: Unlike some guides, our guide called out our name so easy to find proper vehicle.
