Itinerary
The tour begins on the east side of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, offering a refreshing break amidst stunning scenery with breath-taking views of lochs, mountains, and lush countryside.
Pass by: The journey moves through the scenic county of Argyll and Bute into the Highlands, showcasing the vast Rannoch Moor.
We then venture into the rugged landscapes of Glencoe, a stunning part of the Caledonian Mountain range. Discover the intriguing geology of this ancient, extinct super volcano that erupted 420 million years ago, shaping the dramatic mountains we see today. You’ll also learn about the tragic history of the Glencoe Massacre. And for Harry Potter fans, these three iconic peaks served as the backdrop for the final battle at Hogwarts!
Have lunch in Fort William, located at the base of the Nevis Range. Explore the remnants of old army barracks, take a stroll along the shores of Loch Linnhe, and savor local cafe delights before resuming the journey.
Arrive at Glenfinnan, the highlight of the journey, featuring the Glenfinnan Viaduct by Thomas Telford and the Jacobite Monument. Explore trails for stunning views, spot the Jacobite Steam Train* (operating May 5th–September 26th, 2025), and relive the magic of the Hogwarts Express. Visit the shores of Loch Shiel and the historic Glenfinnan Monument, marking Bonnie Prince Charlie’s 1745 Jacobite Uprising. *Please note that the train will be in operation from 5th May- 26th September 2025. On days where the train is not in operation, you will still have the opportunity to see the viaduct.
The return journey passes through the western side of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, with stunning views of Loch Lomond, Scotland's largest loch. A stop at Luss, a charming conservation village with historic cottages, offers the chance to explore its rich heritage and enjoy a peaceful walk along the loch's scenic shores.

Traveler reviews
Trip to Glenfinnan
We had a very pleasant trip to Glenfinnan and the Highlands. We were lucky with the weather, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The ride was smooth and comfortable, with a good temperature in the bus throughout the journey. Our guide and driver shared interesting information along the way, which added to the experience. Overall, everything was well organized and it was a really nice trip.
K is the man!!!!
This all-day tour was very much what we wanted to experience. Despite the Jacobite train not running, the sites we got to see were worth the time and the money. Our tour guide K was amazing and very informative despite being fairly new to the touring industry! He was very attentive and strived to be on time. It was a very enjoyable and smooth trip overall! We traveled as a family of 4, and even my girls ( 7 and 9) had a lot of fun. Scotland is a beautiful country!!! I highly recommend this tour because it is very easy to get on and and just enjoy the ride and the sites!

A very long and...
A very long and adventurous day. Beautiful landscape. Tour guide ensured that we stopped at all the important sites for photos.
Good trip for my mom
I booked this trip on behalf of my mother who doesn't speak a lot of English. They were kind to arrange my mom to be dropped off on the way back (so that she can catch a bus to Isle of Skye the next day without going all the way back) and my mom had a good time the whole day despite the weather. Thanks for taking care of her!
