Itinerary
We visit the UNESCO-listed Giant’s Causeway to explore at leisure. While the location hasn’t been used in Game of Thrones, the site is the Causeway Coast’s showpiece, and it’s well worth visiting while in the area. Walk around admiring the hexagonal rock columns and gaze out at the crashing waves along the dramatic coastline.
Probably the most recognisable fall the locations, "The Kings Road" is a breathtaking avenue of trees, where you can visualise Arya Stark making her escape down The Kings Road.
We start the day by travelling along the Causeway Coastal Route , driving through areas like Carnlough & Ballycastle - home to the real life Catelyn Stark and Varys! This drive has been voted one of the worlds top 5 most spectacular drives!
You can just imagine Theon Greyjoy arriving back at Pyke Harbour when you are in Ballintoy!
Stop in the town of Cushendun and walk to the caves where Melisandre of Asshai gave birth to her ‘shadow baby’ who went on to slay Renly Baratheon. Hear tales of the power struggles, battles and trysts between the noble families of Westeros, and learn gossip about the morally dubious King Joffrey Baratheon.
The Free City of Braavos!! Climb the same steps as Ayra Stark as she arrives in Braavos, to find Jaqen H'ghar and become the faceless assassin.

Kildare Village
We went on the Kildare Village trip, last month. It was a great day out. Paul was our driver and was friendly and helpful. The only downside and this has nothing to do with McCombs, was that the vouchers given out for the Village were not accepted in any of the shops we tried to use them in. Will probably do the trip again, later in the year.
Irish northern coastline, Giant’s causeway, with GOT filming sites
Martin was our guide and we spent an amazing day seeing and exploring the beautiful coastline outside of Belfast including places where some GOT sciences were filmed and the incredible Giant’s causeway . We also had a wonderful lunch on the coast in a quaint village. Martin , our guide , was so friendly, funny and knowledgeable and we had such a great time !!! What an amazing way to see Northern Ireland
Best tour of Northern Ireland!!!
My husband and I had an incredible private tour with Hugh! It was a beautiful sunny very warm day accented with stunning views and beautiful locations. We could have asked for anything more than great conversation, information , sights and history of Northern Ireland!
Loved our day but very disappointed & frustrated that Viator’s description of the all day tour was not accurate.
The Carrick a Rede Rope Bridge was the highlight. Unfortunately when we arrived near the location of the ripe bridge, we were told it was not included. It shows included on the Viator Tour booking. We had to pay an additional 60 British Pounds and miss some other stops as it wasn’t even planned as a stop. Very disappointed and frustrated with Viator.
Spectacular!
Hugh was a wonderful guide! He knew all about the Game of Thrones and had insight to the filming locations. We enjoyed learning about Irish history, folklore, and landscape. Memorable day in Northern Ireland!
