Choose your own wine adventure!

This was the easiest way to arrange a nice and comfy ride to the wine tram/bus from Cape Town and back, and to still get to go to the wineries at the top of my list! I was able to get some kind of food at every stop (cheese plate, oysters, bread service, full charcuterie spread), and tastings were much better priced than anticipated. I did 4 stops, which could have been 5, but I loved my 3rd stop so much I stayed 2 hours! If you want to be able to plan your stops, skip the barreling tours, and just enjoy good wines, this is the way to go! I’d definitely do some research first on your top 2-4 wineries on the lines, pick a line, and then decide if you want to do the tram or the bus first (I did tram and was able to do 2 relatively quick). I loved this because I got to dictate which winery I wanted to spend more or less time at. Beautiful experience.

Excellent day out

Good selection of pickup points around cape town. The coach journey was pleasant and on the way back you arrive at v and a and there is a bus that heads back to the Atlantic seaboard - turns out it was an open top bus which was cool. This excursion is not a guidrd tour but a comfy, safe and affordable way to get to the tram. I travelled by myself and met friends at the tram station. When you get there you are on your own to pick your vineyards etc. We left sea point 8.20 got there just after 10 and the coach home left 16.30 arriving back (sea point) around 18.30 Had a great time - did the blue line and managed to get in the cheese pairing at Franschoek Cellar, wine tasting at Rickety Bridge along with a tasty lunch at their restaurant, and a quick drink at Le Provence (note you ride a tractor here! A nice surprise). We went in autumn and it was a lovely sunny day and fhe vineyards still looked charming 😍 My advise is pick a few places to go so you are not rushing. Trams leave each vineyard every 30mins and you will be given a time table upon arrival. The staff on the tram will advise you on timings so you are back in time for coach home. Was anxious I wouldn't have time for Provence but was assured I would be fine, and I was 😀 Highly recommend this if you are looking for a safe and affordable transfer from the city and are keen to plot your own route.

Best views and experience in Africa

This was a special experience. We spent a week in South Africa and this was our last experience. It made our entire trip. What a memorable ending to a wonderful experience. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for the most gorgeous views in all of South Africa and anyone who enjoys the best wine in the world. 10/10!!

Confusion on the tickets...

Confusion on the tickets then about bus needed instead of tram to first vineyard. Timetable given out in Cape Town didn’t match timetable given out at tram terminal.
