A great day out even for a child!

I can’t fault our day out! It was so well organised, staff were on hand to answer any questions and give us recommendations based on our circumstances. I was also very impressed with the level of service in that we were originally booked to do the trip on the Sunday but our daughter had been very ill the night before and we didn’t think we could get her on the coach and tram for the day, I emailed and the team came back pretty much straight away and offered to change it to the Monday. It was all so easy and we really appreciated this as we would simply not have enjoyed the Sunday as much had we not been able to change so I thank you for your flexibility and also the speedy responses, it honestly helped make our trip that much more care free and enjoyable. The wineries we visited were all well presented and you had a wide selection, my 11 year old thinks she got treated like a queen with the kiddie options also! Thank you so much, we have recommended this day to anyone who hasn’t yet been.

Franschhoek wine tour

Brilliant experience from start to finish, we chose the blue line and it was perfect, everything was really well explained on the day with pick up times from vineyards etc. very smooth journey to and from Cape Town, would definitely recommend

Well worth doing but be smart about your route!

If I’m honest I found some of this day a little confusing, but overall we had a great time. The first confusion was being issued a ticket for the Green line when we had booked for the Blue line - still not sure what happened here as we just decided to go with the flow as we weren’t too fussed. But not sure why that happened. The second confusion was around the timing for trams and pick ups. You only get an hour at each stop - but once you get off the tram you have to take a bus anyway (our first stop for around 7/8 mins journey) which really eats in to your time. A big group went to the first stop from the tram and so service was slower and we had to wait two hours instead. Third confusion was really about the timing overall - we felt like we needed an extra hour or two (and the timetables would have accommodated this) to maximise our time at different estates. In the end we only managed to visit two as we wanted to enjoy where we were, and also the tram as best as we could. Overall we genuinely did have a really great day and the daily specials are excellent value for trying fantastic wine at a super affordable rate. The tram is quite special and a really nice thing to do. They should just really have them timetabled for on the half hour rather than the hour in an ideal world. We would definitely recommend this trip, but would suggest doing some of the bus first options rather than tram first as these will likely be quieter and your service therefore a bit quicker, and let you move on to the next estate so you can experience more than we did! You’ll still get to do the tram but we reckon from our experience this might be more efficient.

Must do if you are a wine lover

So much fun!! The bus and tram rides are short and you can see the country side. Grande Provence is a must! Wished we would have ate lunch here. Do the bus first and then tram!
